A comfortable restaurant with good service, great oysters and good food. Dining companion received a pork chop that was quite rare and needed to go back to the kitchen , I had a steak that was cooked properly but tough. Two other companions liked with mains very well. Attractive upscale atmosphere that is a tad noisy but quite charming nonetheless.

We stopped in the coffee shop inside the front of the restaurant for a quick pick me up. The server gave excellent advice regarding the roast and the scone, Raspberry Lime. That scone was just dense enough and just sweet enough. The raspberry influence was almost overpowered by a delightful lime flavor. The lime zest was the crowning touch.

Very good food, great chowder! Incomparable views. Wonderful setting on the lower deck right on the rocks. I recommend early evening for sunset while the weather holds. We didn't have a reservation but they fit us in and we spent a lovely, quiet evening watching the waves roll over the rocks while enjoying cocktails and dinner.

Roy Mooreâs Fish Shack (not to be confused with Roy Moore Lobster Co) has an accessible entry. It is the only restaurant in the square I noticed that was. The seating area was accessible. The is another seating area down some steps. I did not check the bathrooms for accessibility. The food - the best was the Haddock Chowder. Absolutely a must have. The clam chowder was tasty but really thick. Big thumbs up for the Fried Scallops, so sweet! Fried Haddock very fresh, unfortunately it was pieces not a whole fillet. Some of the pieces were dry. Twin Lobsters were sweet and fresh. The Lazy Lobster Casserole was forgettable. Small pieces of lobster in an overcooked dry stuffing. Had the squash and pilaf for sides. Great squash. Pilaf was a waste. Whole dish not worth the bother. But with the other choices, who needs it.As with most restaurants, the lobster prices were ridiculous. So much gouging! But you know that going in and Lobster is so good. Would be nice to see realistic pricing somewhere some day! Rest of the prices were reasonable. Entrees in the 20âs for the most part. Bowl of chowder a bargain.

New owners as of February 2016! Now serving breakfast all day and lunch. BYOB
based on others' recommendations we had breakfast at red skiff this morning. it is a very small charming place where you feel like you are in someone's home. the wait person was incredibly warm and friendly without being at all intrusive. her recommendations were spot on, and the food was uniformly good. service was fast, and the food was beautifully presented and cooked to order. this could easily become my favorite for breakfast even though it is a 45 min drive from my home!

Nate's at Front Beach is a quaint, family friendly, seaside restaurant, located on Beach St. Rockport, MA. Nate's serves a full breakfast with choice lunch options throughout our 7 am-1pm hours.
One of the best Lobster rolls I've ever eaten...lots of mayo if you like that sorta thing. Hostess was a bit odd. Service was fine. Clean. Average prices for the area. Tight quarters. Be prepared to wait for seating.

Spent $20 for a lobster roll and chips. Although the roll looks âshortâ as compared to other rolls, it is stuffed with nothing but sweet lobster knuckle. Definitely a bargain for the quality and quantity.Took friends to the âfish shackâ, the formal sit down restaurant.we shared a bowl of yummy chowder before having the lazy lobster, shrimp plate and cocoanut shrimp plate. All were wonderful, not a spec of food left on plates. Get there early to avoid the crowd.
