We were pleasantly surprised, we weren't expecting to find such a nice restaurant and great view. We were meeting up with someone at the hotel but decided to have a small lunch and enjoy the view. We will definitely go back for lunch or dinner. We really enjoyed the food and the wonderful, friendly service.

We are faithful customers. Good American food, big portions, friendly staff, good service, but not always fast (try to avoid busy hours or holiday days; despite the efforts of the waiters, the kitchen can't handle too many orders at the same moment). However on regular days, your orders come quite fast and well prepared. Our family has tried almost all the breakfast dishes in the menu, and some of dinner ones. On the board at the entrance, you can also find their specials of the day.Breakfast is served all day ;-) Kids are welcomed and they get to pick a little treat or toy from the "treasure chest" at the exit. The place might need some interior improvements to seem more attractive, but what counts for us is the freshness and the taste of the food, not the looking of the walls and tables ;-)

I have been there several times over the last few months and with every visit the service tends to be a little slow. Yet we return because it is convenient, a local establishment, and the food is good. My last visit was for a business meeting and we stayed for hours and were never asked to hurry our departure. This was a weeknight and they tend to be more crowded on the weekends, especially for breakfast and brunch, so you may have a different experience then. I have been for breakfast and it is quite good. Try the cinnamon rolls but get their early as they tend to run out.

We popped in here at our hotel clerks recommendation, and she was spot on. The drinks, food and service were great. The only thing that I would say is not good for business, is one of the gals working behind the pull tab bar was swearing. I am by no means a prude and not beyond swearing, but while you are on the job and serving customers?

This is one of our go-to bbq places, with their combo of tender chicken and juicy brisket and tasty sides - thereâs plenty of good food to share. Itâs a neighborhood friendly vibe with warm wood interior, as well as helpful service... and donât forget to try some peach cobbler!

Went in for breakfast Sunday morning and had a nice young woman seat us. Our server was good also and handled everything with a smile. Eggs were nicely done and the hash browns were excellent. The cinnamon roll was the only poor choice. Tough and just not a great item. The restaurant could stand a good cleaning, especially wood surfaces and the floor. Severs don't seem to have any uniform guidelines, different jeans, tops, and not always in the best of condition. One young gentleman (I assume a busser) was wearing a very worn fleece and he was generally not very focused on his job. The only real distraction. Service in general was very good, especially our server.

I had read that this was a highly rated restaurant in Renton. It deserves it's reputation. The food was very good. We had the baked brie and cambreozola appetizer. Then we had Salmon BLT salad, the mixed seafood grill, the Idaho filleted trout and the healthy salad with grilled Salmon. Everything was prepared in a healthy fashion. Of course we sinned and had the Mt Rainier cherry Sundae, delish!

This is one of my favorite places in Renton to gather with friends, have a nice glass of wine and nosh. The Red House has lots of character, unlike chain restaurants. The outdoor seating is great on sunny days. Enjoy!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff. It was everything they said and then some. The dark ale really complimented the tender filet that I enjoyed. My wife had the assorted sausage plate and there was so much that she could only eat about half of it. There was a big crowd by 6:00 PM and the only negative that I had was that it was very hard to find a parking spot. However the uniqueness of the restaurant, built in the early 1900s, was well worth the inconvenience of finding a parking spot.
