We tried to have a drink and use the wifi but lacked success. The menu was bog standard bar food at high prices (for Guatemala). They don't even have their own toilet!

Areopagus Cafe is an American style diner and pastry shop serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are open Tuesday thru Saturday from 9:00am to 7:00pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday. From central park proceed on 6a calle toward the Calvario, (cemetary)

Dave and his wife Kathy serve food common to Kansas and other central states, those tastes that can't be found elsewhere in Central America. He makes trips to the US to buy favorite foods that can't be found in Guatemala. I eat there two or three times a week, certainly for the food, but also for chats with friends.Yes, Cafe Areopagus is a great place to have a cup of coffe or a meal and visit with friends. The music isn't too loud, but it's usually an eclectic mix.

Coffee shop linked to art. Great place, good music, the best coffee, lovely pretzels and craft beer.
