Went here twice during my stay. The second time was the best. Had a rather boisterous crowd with me and I must say we probably gave our server some fits (in a good-natured way. Taylor was, to his credit, very solicitous and deserved every penny of the tip we left him.
I am the Manager of the Hampton Inn and Suites around the corner from this Chicken Express. Chicken Express is a great business partner for us. It all started when they booked their corporate opening team with us. We order food for our clients and evening reception from them often with very little notice. They are always nice and professional and helpful even delivering our orders without an extra charge. I am a very demanding customer and I can tell you I have never had one single problem with the service of food from this location. Thank you to Brett, Christina and the rest of the staff for being amazing business partners and for excellent service and food.
Patsy's is only open during the week, Monday - Friday, and they are only open for breakfast and lunch. The food is served buffet-style. Meat loaf, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, chicken breasts, and your basic veggies--green peas (canned), corn (canned), green beans (canned), mashed potatoes (instant), etc. The food is okay and the prices are actually pretty good. Desserts appear to be made there. They are good and reasonably priced. Not a bad place to stop for a quick weekday lunch.

I didn't even know this place was here until friends took us for dinner during the holidays. The restaurant is only open for dinner. It looks like a house, and is charming in its' setting. The menu is gourmet, but not pretentious. Everything was delicious! There is a slightly musty, "old house" smell to the place, but we visited in during the cold, damp winter, and it IS a remodeled old house. I am especially sensitive to odors, so that might not bother everyone else. It was not strong enough to prevent me from enjoying my meal. We plan to bring our parents here for a special occasion.

This is one kewl spot on the Marina; food, nice cold drinks and live music on weekends. Very spacious with nice seating and patio overlooking the marina area. Food was good, catfish basket was a hit and wife had the chicken margarita flatbread. Expensive but considering the location thatâs understandable

Cotton Patch Cafe is a Texas-inspired, home-style restaurant serving Southern classics. Famous for its Chicken Fried Steak, Crispy Fried Catfish and other specials like the King Ranch Chicken Casserole, and homemade Chicken and Dumplings. Don't forget abo
The absolute worse service imaginable. After waitung over 30 minutes after ordering and still no food. Unless you count the cold inedible rolls. The appetizer of queso, never came. Apparently our order was never placed by the server. Realizing the problem, our order of a fish/shrimp combo was rushed our (following our 35 minute wait). The fish and shrimp were below average. The fries were cold. Mac and cheese was pretty good. The fried okra was mushy (probably frozen and thawed). Overall, just a terrible experience. Bad service. Bad food. Poorly managed restaurant. Thank you so much for your feedback. First, we are so sorry to hear about your negative experience. We can assure you that this is not up to our standards. We are lookinâ into why this occurred, and we will do our best to prevent this from happening again. We thank you for your honest feedback, as this helps us know where we can do better.

We didnât get to read all the reviews before walking in. The second the door opened I was hit with the smell of cigarette smoke. I almost turned right around to leave but we were greeted immediately and asked if we wanted smoking or non. There were about 10 people in the smoking room so it was pretty nasty smelling in there. Iâm grateful there was a non smoking room. (Which is to the right of the porch if you want to go straight to the non smoking room). Iâm grateful because it was a nice, yet somewhat rundown place. The restroom was also the laundry room and the toilet needed a good scrubbing! But the service and food were good. We both had the burger and my husband said it was the best burger heâs had. The fries are just regular frozen type fries and we asked if the onion rings were hand breaded or frozen. They are frozen. We looked on the daily specials board and saw they had chocolate meringue pie. We ordered a piece but were told they were out. I did notice the soft drinks were brought out in cans so Iâm guessing if you want refills that could add up quick. All in all it was an ok place. It could use a paint job and definitely a good scrubbing in the restroom but the food and service are good and thatâs what we were hoping for.

We stopped in for a meal after work. We knew the food had to be good because Texas Highway Patrol troopers were eating there. Law enforcement always knows good places to eat!! I settled on the enchiladas and my daughter in law chose a turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries. There is a bar, so we were able to have an adult beverage each. The food arrived quite quickly - and my gosh, there was so much!!! The food was very well presented. The enchiladas tasted good, but were a little too salt for my taste. My DIL pronounced her meal excellent.Overall, the service was good and the food and drinks were very good and plentiful - the cost was surprisingly low. I would recommend this place to everyone wanting good american style food.

If youâre going to be in the Denison area, youâve got to make a stop at Huckâs! They have the best, cleanest, white and tender, perfectly battered and cooked fried catfish. Their tartar sauce is also delicious and goes perfectly with the fishâask for extra! We love their baked potatoes and potato and ham potato salad, as well as their hush puppies and theyâve got some great veggie options. They also have the option of gluten free fried catfish with a cornmeal batter. And of course theyâve got other entree options and a full kidâs menu, but in our family the fish is the favorite! Youâll leave this place full and happy!
