We were visiting the area and our Morehead City friends insisted we visit their favorite restaurant. What excellent fresh fish we had and we wish it was located in our hometown. I had the ahi tuna with toasted sesame. It was extremely delicious and a lot of it. Shrimp and Grits, Shrimp and Scallop Scallop Alfredo and Tomato Basil Tuna were fully enjoyed by the others. So there isn't anything to warn you about but, instead, just enjoy a delicious dining experience.

Stayed in hotel ( hotel accommodation was good). The restaurant is terrible!!!!âThe ingredients used are sub standard.Tried the special rib eye. Thin cut tenderised grizzly meat . Ordered the steak to be cooked rare , it arrived fully cooked - Terrible!!!!The crab cakes were obviously frozen and sub standard.Limited menu. These guys need to up their standards, holiday makers need to be offered better quality. Epic fail!!!!!

Stayed two (2) nights .Fantastic location right on the beachThe hotel is being renovated, the rooms are comfortable and clean, all rooms have spectacular views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The beach in front is first class.Good staffWe where there during peak season and had not pre booked hence the rate we paid was âfully priced â.The restaurant is terrible. The food ( only tried dinner) was the worst example of cheap nasty ingredients .The special steak ( meant to be premium rib eye) was tenderised thin cut gristle. The crab cakes were obviously frozen and generic mass produced .Summary Really good holiday accommodation.Terrible restaurant that lets the side download.

My husband and I stopped for a quick breakfast. The food was served quick and was delicious. The service was great too - and friendly. I had a bacon and cheese omelette with hash browns and biscuit. My husband had the Cox Special - scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. They even had sugar-free syrup!Weâll be back! I do have to mention how narrow the wood booths are in the first section of the restaurant! Go ahead and grab a table in the dining area to the left

My husband and I ate there last night and the service was good. We really liked our server, Tania, who was nice and friendly. We started with the seafood bisque, which didnât disappoint. Then I ordered the shrimp & grits, one of my faves, and my husband ordered the Snapperz Combo. He liked his but after tasting mine, he wished heâd ordered the shrimp & grits. It was delicious and so much food I had to take half of it with us. Definitely recommend!

Had breakfast this am at The Banks Grill and it lived up to the reviews. The service was very good and there was a number employees working. We arrived early and had only a short wait. Portions were large, prices were good, coffee was great and the grits were some of the best we have had. The biscuits were large, light and delicious. A great breakfast spot!

It was very busy and the waitress took our order immediately as we pulled in. Waited about 15 minutes and she brought the food out plenty hot and the drink cold. I got a cheeseburger with ketchup and fries- both were very good. I was really impressed by the cheeseburger and will definitely get it again.

Went for dinner on Saturday night. It was early so the restaurant wasn't too busy yet. Love the live music by saxophonist. They also have a piano and sometimes have live pianist.Bread basket appears to homemade. Buttered with parmesean sprinkled on top. Ordered filet mignon medium well temperature, came with 3 red potatoes. Not sure if it also came with a green, but wanted salad and charged $5 for a house salad. Steak was cooked medium well, seasoned and tender. $30 plus $5 for salad. Also got shrimp and grits. Plated beautifully in a bowl with bacon. Shrimp cooked to Perfection, grits in a nice firm cake with fresh mushrooms and herbs. An alfredo sauce covers a dish. $20Also got macaroni and cheese small plate. It's homemade with bechamel sauce and melted cheese on top in a skillet. It was okay but I would prefer a little bit of kick like some black pepper or maybe pepper jack cheese. Pasta shape was rigatoni, would prefer actual macaroni. Pasta shapes are smaller than rigatoni and easier to scoop up with a spoon. There's just a flavor layer missing to my palate. $11Two entrees, one small plate, and a soda was $75 including tax.

We ate dinner three times while in town. First two experience for wonderful. We had sea food, was fresh, served fast. Bread was fresh, drinks cold and fast. Third time we ordered the prime rib on the waitress recommendation. The meat was very fatty and did not have much taste.

7 of us with a reservation. Took waitress forever to come visit us, then it went downhill. The restaurant was not overlly busy. We each ordered atleast 2 things, one person didn't get any of her items for an hour. Clearly the waitress forgot to put in the order; she would have known we didn't get all of our food if she would have ever come back to check on us. The food when served was good, the coctails pretty and tasted good but weak on the booze. We are so sorry to hear about this experience. We do feel this is very out of character. If you can please contact us directly at [email protected] we would like to learn more about your visit so we can ensure our staff is aware and we can work to improve. We do feel this is very out of character. We would appreciate you reaching out so we can address your concerns directly. Again, our sincere apologies - thank you for your time!
