I expected this place to have a menu that was fairly limited to the typical pub fair- and so have been putting off trying it out. What a surprise that the menu was so varied- and that the kitchen really delivered. Prices are reasonable and keep an eye out for weekly food and drink specials!

34 of us stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night. (they knew we were coming)The wait staff were helpful, funny and efficient. The service was quick, and the food was top notch. Most notable favorites were the Chicken Pot Pie, Liver & Onions and Wings & Ribs. Great job, girls & guys. We will be back.

We were attending a conference and had limited time for dinner. We came across Dr. J's BBQ by accident. It was not advertised anywhere. What a great surprise. The food was so good and the service very fast. Definitely will return if ever in Peterborough again

Tried this restaurant today . Had the simple three eggs bacon and toast, the portions were very generous and tasted great. Seating was fast and efficient. Service was great , the server was very attentive and our food came out hot n fast. The only downside would be that the place is like eating in a school gym sound wise, it's noisy and lots of echo's . I think you can hear every plate getting rinsed and put in the wash. franchisee should look at some sound and noise control.Glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us! Thanks you for your feedback; we hope to see you again soon.

Smitty's is Canada's largest family restaurant chain with more than 115 restaurants for 30 years. It is the only truly national one, operating from coast to coast. The Smitty's concept is particularly popular among families with small children, seniors an
We got a unfriendly waitress did not seem interested . Explained its our first time . No help with options . Being across the street from the hotel and water the prices were too much for our senior pocket for what they offered. It was clean though . Stopped by Jacks to check the menu think we will try there next far better pricing

15 of us attended to celebrate the life of a family member after a cemetery service. They booked us into a front room. We had 3 servers to look after us. Each had years of experience, in some cases decades in the same restaurant. We were treated with respect and dignity. They let us push tables together so that we could reminisce. They did not rush us, but were very prompt with our orders. The food was served hot, portion size was generous and everyone enjoyed their meals. Don't worry, there are menu choices for those that don't enjoy seafood. This was a good experience, especially under the circumstances. Thank you for giving the Peterborough Red Lobster 4 stars, Badforever, we look forward to giving you a 5 star experience next time.

Peterborough's finest venue for great food, fun and entertainment Riley's is the place to be in the Kawarthas. Under one roof we have it all; a great pub with lots of nooks and crannies; a comfortable fireplace lounge and a pool hall with lots of tables f
Pub food.Mainly deep fried faire. No frills.Generous portions. Food is what it is. Burgers... chicken chips.... Waited a while to be seated at the front of the place and served on what could only be considered a quiet night. Staff obviously had their own âsectionsâ and did not attend anything but their own. When served our waiter was knowledgeable about local beer and offered choices. Friendly.Thank you for your review. Sorry you found your visit just satisfactory.as that is not what our guests have come to expect from us. We hope you visit us again.

Our latest visit here was to celebrate my wife's birthday and we were both eager to see the summer menu. As usual, we were not disappointed. I like the Keg for several reasons; the staff are always friendly, professional and attentive, the food is always prepared to your liking, and the restaurant itself is always clean and tidy. Yes, there is a cost associated with this but in this case you get what you pay for. On this visit I had the iceberg salad with blue cheese dressing and though I am not a huge fan of blue cheese, it does work amazingly on this salad. Steak and seafood selections were delicious and wine pairings matched perfectly. I'll be back!

We had been the restaurant next door and I have always wanted to give this a try. I Iike the lay out of the place and friendly manner of the staff. The only downer was the bride wanted catfish, however they were out and they did not have any other fish option. She settle on a shrimp dish which she enjoyed. The corn soup was interesting. I had the pasta which heavy on the shrimp but light on the sausage and chicken, still a very tasty dish. The place is clean, staff is prompt and food is served hot. Would go again and recommend to others.
