Well I do. I like my fried chicken crunchy. That's why I prefer Church's Chicken to KFC. I live closer to a KFC, but drive out of my way to get my favorite chicken-Church's

Small salad is huge! Lots of choices, very good. Really tasty. BBQ chicken wrap was ok. Breadsticks wonderful. I will try traditional BBQ next.

Visited here for lunch on a weekday. Place was pretty crowded. Very rustic inside, trying to make ya feel like you're in a shack somewhere down South I imagine. Friendly staff. Very attentive. Prices are typical to most BBQ places. I ordered Combo with brisket and pulled pork which comes with two sides and either biscuit, cornbread or hush puppies. I got hush puppies, mac n' cheese and collard greens. The food was all pretty good. The brisket and pulled pork were decent but seemed to be lacking a little in real smoky flavor. Sweet tea was very good and the offer to get a refill "to go" at the end of the meal certainly rings try to how it's done down south. Not a bad option for BBQ but there are better places a little closer to Los Angeles.

5 of us drove to Bellflower to try two different BBQ Joints for lunch......both turned out Baaaaad!!!Hambone's smells like good BBQ...they have the smokers going... but.....you gotta produce good food also!!!We split up a combo plate, a brisket sandwich & some ribs. The ribs (were burnt and overcooked) and brisket were soaking in a very watery BBQ sauce for what tasted like a couple days. The sandwich brisket was pulled & stringy. The peach cobbler tasted very strongly of too much cinnamon & some other spice!!!We took about half home hoping to rejuvenate it later...we ended up throwing it all away!!!
Soul Food Renaissance (formerly LBJ's Fine Foods) got started back in 1993 by migrants from the great state of Texas. The vibe here is a folksy and friendly one. Our specialties are fresh fish, Texas style BBQ, and authentic soul food.
My husband and I went to the Soul Food Renaissance restaurant after church. This was our first time going there. We had eaten the food before at a crew and actors lunch catered by this restaurant. The food was so good we had to go to the restaurant. We were not disappointed. From the time we walked in it was friendly, warm, cozy, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious!! The soul food taste like home made. There is a huge variety from which to choose from. No need to add salt or pepper. Fresh lemonade is provided, or you a get sweet tea. The dinner plate has enough food for two servings. We could not eat everything in one sitting. We took food home with desert.
The locals love it. My favorite is the breakfast. For 3.39 you get a complete meal three times bigger than there competitor D____'s, for a fraction of the price. Can get busy on Sun. morning.Atmosphere is on the old rustic side, but the food and prices make up for it.

A restaurant where everything on the menu is excellent. I go here very often. This last time I ate the smoked brisket sandwich (chopped, not sliced) and a jar of Swamp Water (Arnold Palmer, at other places). The jar is a large Mason jar. Slaw was the side of choice. Absolutely delicious. There is an outdoor eating area; if the weather is nice (which is most of the year) eat there!

Relaxed, lodge-chic chain serving global comfort fare, including stir-fries, pot roast & pastas.
Five of us had a long dinner, not because of the service (that was EXCELLENT) but because we talked so much and ordered a lot. The best part was at the end when we ordered an apple huckleberry pie and it was heavy on the apples and very light on the huckleberries. I teased the waitress that her tip would be based on how many huckleberries we found, and at the end, she came out with a little dish of huckleberries that she found on her search in the freezer! Cutest thing ever. I even gave her a hug upon departure. The food was very good, the atmosphere was great, getting to know our new friends in such a place was a wonderful, but our waitress was a pure delight. I wish I could remember her name. Nakeene or Nikaa or some unusual name. Two syllables I know.

This is a Breakfast place and the food is average. The Grits and Shrimp lacked favor and for the price the serving seemed a little small. The eggs were ok. The service was good but I think if you are going to specialize on one meal have some outstanding or different menu items.

Followed the reviews of Fronk's on Yelp! and found a delightful, open late-nite, sociable place to grab a bite to eat after the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas concert at the Cerritos Center on Friday 12/28/18. As first-timers here, we had a very good experience. We arrived around 10:40pm. to the sound of a terrible Karoake performer, and chose to eat outside on the patio, even though it was about 63F. We were seated next to a propane tower heater which made the choice just fine. Service was prompt. We were greeted by Maria, a very personable young lady, who immediately offered water or our choice of beverage. Having heard about the colossal onion rings, we opted for a full order while we looked through the diverse menu. Plenty of things here for most folks . . . burgers and other beef & pork items, salads, seafood. Onion rings arrived in about 10 minutes.I settled on the Philly Pig burger with a side of the smoked sausage chili, while my wife ordered the chicken strips appetizer and a house salad. We had managed our way through most of the onion rings when our meal arrived. There were seven chicken tenders perfectly done -- moist and not 0overcooked -- with a sampling of four dipping sauces, and the salad was full of fresh greens, grape tomatoes, corn kernels, roasted peppers, cheese, and topped with some tortilla strips. The burger was beautiful to look at. Very light, almost crispy bun. The burger patty was grilled precisely to medium as ordered. The pulled pork was a very generous serving, probably 2-3 ounces . . . the only problem was that it had been poorly placed before leaving the kitchen, and about half of it wasn't even under the bun, so most of it fell onto my plate when I picked up the burger for the first bite, which meant that I really didn't get any of the pulled pork with the burger on that first try. I might have understood that as an accident if the place had been more busy, but I think it was just random poor workmanship. I would try it again, believing it would be a bit more satisfying if properly assembled. However, there are a number of other burgers that I would also like to try here, so it might be a while before I handle another Philly Pig. Overall, we had a very good experience, and will surely return, perhaps with some friends. They have a Sunday AYCE Brunch from 10-2 at about $22 per person which sounds inviting, and we may give it a try one week after church. I've rated Fronk's 5 stars, but would have knocked a half-star off for the poor presentation of my burger. It's definitely worthy of all the top reviews.
