At Friendlyâs, weâve been serving up ice cream and delicious fun since 1935. But actions taste better than words. So, get in today to try us for yourself.
My family and I had breakfast here, which was pretty good. The one thing I did not like about the philly cheesesteak omelette is that they simply melt a single piece of american cheese on top of the omelette. No cheese was inside the omelette. Overall, it was good, but did not meet my expectations. I wouldnât get it again, but I will certainly eat here for breakfast again, since they have other great items.

I've eaten at this diner before and the food was good. Well I stopped last week and ordered a cheeseburger medium rare and a bowl of Italian soup. The soup wasn't very good, and the cheeseburger was beyond rare, to the point that in the middle wasn't even warm.Needless to say I will not be back!

Returning from a family memorial service in Upstate New York, we stopped for dinner in Palmer. We found CJ's Restaurant by happenstance. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot. We took that to mean that it was a good restaurant. It turned out to be a great find. The banners out front advertised the pulled pork sandwich, cheesesteak grinder, and other fast food. However, once inside, we learned that it was mainly a seafood restaurant. The crab on the sign above the side entrance was a clue. Since we are seafood-lovers, we were delighted. On entering the restaurant, we were greeted and led to a booth in the main dining room in the back. Our waitress came for our beverage orders as soon as we got settled. It was a short wait for them. The menu had a lot of entrées we like. Making a final choice of what to have wasnât easy. We were ordering just before the Early Bird Specials time ended, so we both went with the Baked Stuffed Shrimp at $9.95. It came with two sides and Jell-O for dessert. We both took salad with blue cheese dressing as one side. And, for the other side, my friend took a baked potato, and I had rice pilaf. It was about 5-minute wait for rolls and butter, followed by the salads about two minutes later. Both were good. While waiting for the entrées, I checked out all the nautical décor. Out by the small bar area near one of the entrances, there were to sizable model ships, a lot of smaller ones, and a chalkboard with a very accurate drawing of a lobster. The walls in the dining areas were decorated with plaques, paintings, etc. It was quite a collection. Our entrées arrived about 5 minutes after we finished our salads. The stuffing on the shrimp was browned a little too much for my liking, but the overbrowned parts were easily removed. The stuffing was very tasty without being overly salty. The rice was well-seasoned and savory. The three shrimp were fairly large and well-prepared. Those were cooked just right. We enjoyed our meals. They were very filling. We did not have room for the Jell-O. Service was satisfactory. The place was clean.Outside, I walked around to see the small lighthouse attached to the building on the street side of the building. I noticed a ramp up to the nearby front entrance. It would accommodate a wheelchair. We rate CJ's Restaurant at 4.0 and can recommend eating there to people who like seafood. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.

This was our first visit since the re-launch and it was very good. The decor was very nice, the old owners had too much clutter. The counter seating is a nice addition. The food was good and service was very friendly.Thank you so much for your glowing review! We are so excited to be open finally and making our customers happy!

Hey, what can you expect? After driving around looking for a quick bite to eat this place has everything you could want at a restaurant by the side of a road type of place. I wouldn't necissarily travel out of my way to go back, but the prices were good, the food was good, the servers were nice! Burger was ok (cooked well), fries were a bit soggy for some reason

We experienced a warm greeting from our attentive waitress and expected to enjoy a good meal. However, that never happened. My fillet of haddock was so small that I almost couldn't find it under the vegetables. I also overheard another customer ask her waitress "where's the fish"? My dessert was a strawberry short cake. But the short cake was a biscuit with a couple strawberries and whipped cream. A knife was necessary to cut the biscuit.Another insult was when we got our credit card statement, someone had increased our tip amount above the 15% that I had added to the bill.It took some time for to write this up because I was so upset by the whole experience.

The station is elegant and has been restored to the point that you can enjoy pretending you are in the past. Staff dresses in railroad themed clothing. Birthday wishes are done with blowing train whistles. Very cool. Food is excellent and portions are huge, Plan on bringing home leftovers to feed the family for a few nights. The Porter Steam engine and the steam aged wood parlor car are excellent memorabilia to photograph and adore. Amtrak Lake Shore blew past while we had dinner and it was cool since it was close to being on time. There were no announcements that that train would come through. Good thing I had Google to look it up.

Got there half an hour before closing. Staff were friendly, didn't rush us and we had great sandwiches! Ham, cheese, apple slices, walnuts with honey mustard-YUM! Friend had turkey with cranberry jelly and apple slices. My new favorite sandwich add-on: apples! We got muffins to go, another winner! Great place!
