Find out what American restaurants to try in Ouray. Surrounded on all sides by snow-capped peaks and set at the narrow head of a deep valley, Ouray touts itself as the "Switzerland of America." With no nearby ski area to attract the tourism of other alpine Colorado towns, Ouray has kept much of its authentic turn-of-the-century charm. The whole town is registered as a Historic District and includes many buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. Its free Ice Park attracts amateur and pro ice climbers from around the world.

We stopped here because of the reviews and are very glad we did. They only have outside dining but our sever, Chad, was exceptional and our food was very good. The portions are HUGE so plan to share! The antipasto salad, pizza (itâs a thinner crust) and loaded fries were all very good. The loaded fries have pulled pork on them which is a bit on the sweeter side but my husband loved them!

Stopped for drinks on Labor Day weekend and enjoyed a great view and great service. We have been here before years ago and had a good burger. What we saw being served to others looked good and like they were enjoying. I think the inside and bathrooms have been updated some, still very Old West Colorado, but significantly cleaner this time.Try it, you'll like it!

This is a cool little pub & a great place to watch football on a Sunday BUT the portion sizes are disappointing. The food itself was average but would have been more acceptable had the portion sizes warranted the price. Service was slow but our waiter was personable.

My young grand child knocked over a just delivered chocolate milk. Melissa, our waitress, insisted on cleaning in up even though we offered and brought another milk. She was so sweet about it! Did I mention the presentation of our meals was outstanding and tasted fantastic. Cudos to this new establishment for great food and service. We recommend and will return to RMB

The Ouray Brewery is open daily. Our brewery has three levels â with fine food and outstanding craft brews offered on each floor. Level one houses our kitchen and intimate pub. Level two offers our main dining area and brewery. And level three boasts the
After having a large lunch, we were looking for some appetizers and beer and thatâs just what we got. We had the guacamole and chips which was tasty and the pretzel bites which come with beer cheese and grainy mustard. The bites were warm and cheery and the beer cheese was amazing. (Iâd love to find a recipe since it was smooth and dippable and yet served at room temp.) And we both really like the Octoberfest beer.

Steakhouse serving steaks, seafood and pasta. Also providing brunch 7 days a week! Try our Bloody Mary bar on the weekends!
MAKE RESERVATIONS IF YOU WANT TO EAT HERE!The outlaw is famous for the fact that John Wayne left his cowboy hat here at the conclusion of shooting a movie. It sits over the bar. The restaurant is basically a steakhouse. It is a crowded busy restaurant. I ordered a small filet mignon and my husband ordered a rib eye steak. They were excellent. The meal came with choice of soup or salad, choice of potato and bread. The steaks were cooked to perfection. I had ordered the steak fries and they were more like fried potato wedges with garlic powder on them. They were good nonetheless. The salads were just mixed greens and cherry tomatoes. They were good. The blue cheese dressing appeared to be homemade.Lastly, the service was fantastic. We were seated next to a table of ten and the waitress had a huge station. She still gave us great service making sure our water glasses stayed full and making sure we were satisfied. If I go back to Ouray I will be sure to eat there.

Very good food, cozy but not cramped environment. It is suggested to make a reservation, and I can understand why, people want to eat here. Service was great, great dining experience.

We made a reservation, and that was probably a good idea. The restaurant was not particularly busy when we arrived, but that changed after awhile. We ordered the shishito peppers and enjoyed them a lot! However the portion was huge for two people, and thus we could not finish them allâthis would have been fine for 3-4 people!I ordered the mushroom bisque and shrimp fritters; both were flavorful, and the soup was just superb. Both came piping hot, which is a good thing. Both were very generously servings. My husband had the porterhouse; it was prepared as ordered, but a less-than-perfect cut. The mashed potatoes and veggies were wonderful, as was the sauceâhe ate every bite.We will absolutely return. The Brickhouse is a quiet and relaxing restaurant, which was just superb after a long day of sightseeing.

The food is excellent, the service is great and everyone here is friendly. The chicken fried steak was the best and biggest I can remember having. The potato salad and green beans that came with it were excellent also. My wife had the vegetarian wrap with fried okra which she really enjoyed.
