Oh my, where to start. When you walk in, it's like walking in the service door. You a actually walk through the service station to get to the dinning room. Once in, it smells old and dirty. Then you pull out a chair and..... OMG they are cloth covered chairs and the stains! I almost didn't sit. If I had shorts or a skirt I wldn't have. The owner was nice and the waitress was great? But then again, we were the only ones in the place. She did look at the BBQ chicken to make sure it didn't have preservatives in it so that was nice. My drink from the bar wasn't anything to brag about. Very bland.
Visited on a Saturday night, 6:30pm. Only a few tables (8?) and all high tops. All they have are hamburgers:no salads or vegetables other than coleslaw. However, the burgers are excellent: 1/4 pounders but you can make it a double. You build your own burger: cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon, etc. and each addition adds a minimal charge on to the basic price of only $4.50. Out beer was on special- only .99 for a can of Bud Light(!) so for two burgers and 6 beers the bill was only $22.They had only one server to wait tables and pour drinks behind the bar. Felt on a Saturday night with college football games on the TVs they should have had two servers. We did wait a little while for our food but it came on a delicious toasted bun and was worth the wait. The decor is âhunt Clubâ with many stuffed animals. There are TVs lining the room and a big gaming room in back .All in all great place for a hamburger!

Messies has a great menu. The prices fit's everyones budget. We also do alot of home cooking. We also have live music and dancing every weekend. Messies is a fun place to be any time of the day or night.
It's a bar and it's bar good so what can you say other than this is one of the better bar good I have found. Sundays is Bloody Mary days and is generally packed. If your not into the burger or fried chicken grease, try their grilled shrimp salad! Really good. The boys like the burgers. My vice is their sweet potato fry's.

Father & Son Pizzeria features an extensive menu of Italian and American favorites, including po boys, pasta, and our famous pizza. We feature a full appetizer menu, bar, & offer convenient catering services.
Our group ordered a couple of sausage pizzas and side salads. The side salads are a good size - covered with lots of veggies. Nice selection of dressings available. The pizza was delicious - thinner crust, chunk sausage and fresh cheese. Decent selection of beers available. Prices reasonable. The venue is attached to a liquor store and is a small hole in the wall. A handful of tables available for sit down. Service was friendly but slow. It appeared as if only one person working and he was getting swamped. He did a nice job remembering our groups individual orders (drinks, salads, dressings, etc.). I would eat here again.

Absolutely delightful. Two and half hour cruise with brunch onboard the Paddleboat. This little niche on the Rock River between Oregon and Byron is lovely, uncrowded and simply pristine. Eagles overhead, fish jumping in the water and turtles slding off the shore.

This cozy restaurant serves great breakfast. I recommend the omelets and french toast. The pancakes are huge! Coffee is continuously brought around for refills. Atmosphere is welcoming. The interior could use some updates. Service is friendly and typically prompt. Prices good/reasonable.Great small town restaurant.

Great food, I had the grilled chicken basket and my wife got the cheeseburger basket, and we paid less than 13 bucks! Less than what we'd pay at M's. I wish I had room for the ice cream, but there's always next time! You're crazy to miss this gem!

Stopped by for a flight of beer. Good selection and place has a nice vibe to it. Not a wine drinker but told they need to step it up on their selection. Would stop again for beer if in Oregon.

My husband and I were camping and enjoyed a hot breakfast at this diner/family restaurant. Service was very prompt and portions were ample. Coffee was good and frequently topped off. I was able to order items a la carte, which I appreciated, while my husband loved his pumpkin pancakes. I love what they do to their biscuits - I think they grill them in butter just a little. Yum! We will go back next time we are in the area.

Whether it's a day trip from Chicago or a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city, Oregon is less than 2 hours away from Chicago and offers many outdoor activities. Its a great place to visit. The Steakpit offers amazing hospitality and
I ordered the flaming cheese dish as an appetizer for my steak and was taken by surprise when I saw how big it was. I could have probably skipped the steak (had the order not already gone to the kitchen). The food was reasonably good and they seem to do good business. Service was also good.
