Here at the Ore House Hilltop Tavern, we strive to provide a fun and friendly atmosphere that you will want to revisit again and again. We have a full bar and a kitchen that serves great food. Our outside area and patios provide hours of fun space to rela
Had a great dinner out back in the patio yard for outlooking the country view. Ribs were on for the special and they were excellent. Staff was mostly friendly but when itâs time to pay one leaves your change and the other takes it like itâs theirs. Thatâs why tipping is not a priority for me. Either the till operator makes a mistake in the owners favour or the staff just helps themselves to your money as though itâs theirs. Tipping has gone to far that any money on the bar counter is automatically theirs. Will no longer TIP here. Maybe no need to stop either.

In the heart of Oracle we stumble across the Inn Steakhouse and Lounge. It's old. it's very dated. And it's well worth the visit. One area is a typical sit down restaurant with high ceilings and tables, chairs and booths amidst cowboy memorabilia (there's quite a litany of western films shot in and around Oracle. The servers are given to hyperbole, but know the menus inside and out. There's a good variety of mainly comfort food....burgers, wings, fries, salads. I had the French Dip and it was good....healthy tasty beef dipped into a tasty broth; the wings were requested all flats and came all flats. a sufficient amount of heat and tasty ranch dressing for the dipping.Wine's are available. THE OTHER part of the Inn is the old fashioned BAR and large wideopen Sports Bar. Plentiful 2/4/6 tops angled at a number of big screen tv's. wide pathways for food and beverage servers. the bar itself a beautifully maintained old western triple tiered liquor perfectly lit in an old sepia tone. Apparently football weekends the Inn is jumpin.Parking is out the front door and across the street.Food service is simple, unadorned, good but not g reat comfort food.Great place for a short day trip from Tucson.
In every dish served, you can taste the soul that is put into creating what we believe to be the best food around! Come try our delicious seasonal foods.
Fourteen friends went to the monthly Grill Your Own Steak event in late June and came away with mixed reviews. The pluses included a beautiful setting in the middle of the desert with views that went on for miles and miles, a friendly staff and mostly friendly crowd of fellow-diners. The main covered patio area was convenient and provided our group with a table for all of us. There was music, but it was hard to enjoy the singing since it was so loud on the patio. We were able to bring our drinks and appetizers with us and the restaurant provided us with protein (steak, chicken or portobello mushroom) to grill for ourselves. The portions were reasonably large, but the quality of the steak was decidedly hit or miss. Some in our group were very happy with the steak they received but a couple said their steak was "terrible," or "nothing but fat and gristle." Heard no complaints about the chicken (which we had) or the mushrooms. The fixins to season the meat/mushrooms were in good supply and wide variety at a self-serve bar and the salads, mac and cheese, potatoes, bread, etc. were plentiful and generally tasted pretty good. It was a very hot evening and only the tables that were situated outside the main patio area or in an annex seating area had any sort of air circulation despite the ceiling fans. Overall, had fun with our friends, but we'll likely pick another venue next time.

What a wonderful facility. The views are fantastic, the food was tremendous and the service was very good. Anytime you are in the area you should give this a try. I hope that the new restaurant at Saddlebrooke Ranch meets the quality of this restaurant and atmosphere.
