Tonight, I visited this restaurant for the first time ever. Unfortunately, the service in this restaurant was the absolute worst!! My visit there started good. My daughter and I were seated almost immediately. We ordered our drinks and received bread for the table. We placed our simple order of one plate of Baja Chicken tacos to share around 9 pm. We wanted to save room for the cheesecake. After we received our drinks we sat for an hour with nothing. No waitress asking if we wanted a drink refill, no food, no one checking on us to see if we needed anything. The waitress was pregnant so maybe she was tired. I don't know, but really? Now it's 9:50 pm. The waitress seemed a bit annoyed when I asked about our food. Finally, I just asked to talk to a manager. The waitress then explained to me that the kitchen ran out of chicken and they were supposed to tell her but they didn't. It took about another ten minutes to wait for the manager who said that they would make the tacos for us (Makes no sense. Now they mysteriously have chicken). My daughter and I just told them that we didn't want anything from them except to be out of that place with nothing more to do with them. The dining experience here was so incredibly bad. Very disappointing.Thank you so much for taking time to provide feedback about your experience. Had a prime New York strip that was far from the quality I expect for a $46 steak. Lot's of gristle and kind of tough. Our party also ordered rack of lamb which also had lots of gristle. The seafood ordered by others was good and they were happy with the fish. Nice location but quality seems to be slipping.

We dined here with friends we have known since high school. The dinner atmosphere was very alive. Because we wanted to talk, we were seated in an area towards the back, slightly away from the main activity. That suited our needs, very well. Our server, Chris, was good and fun. He let the old friends take their time, talk and reminisce, while making up our minds about drinks and dinner selections. I have to rave about the steaks and their presentation. A server/chef prepares and serves them, at your table, on a slab of very hot black lava rock. My filet mignon was served perfectly medium rare. The side of truffle fries was a perfect addition. My wife's entree oriental salad was huge and very good.Beer selections were great. House wines were quite good.

Service - as stated above. Excellent service! Food - Western Omelet, hash browns (crispy), and wheat toast. Omelet was perfectly cooked and even though I asked for crispy hash browns (and they were crispy) they were not greasy. The bread they used for the toast was a good quality bread. Overall great breakfast. I hate a greasy breakfast and this was not one bit greasy. You could tell that they take pride in their cooking. So if you are looking for a great breakfast this is the place for you. I would not call it a "foodie" restaurant but I would definitely return. PS place was nice and clean

Until a year ago I hailed from the lovely Garden State. The whole NY/NJ area is full of establishments boasting of the âbest pizzaâ. There is all kinds: brick oven, coal oven, wood fired, and the corner pizza restaurant. So I am jaded and abit of a snob when it comes to pizza pie as we North Newarkerâs called it growing up.Fast forward and I marry a Detroiter and there are trips to his home state visiting in-laws and friends to celebrate (graduations and weddings) and mourn (hospitalizations and deaths). Early on I quickly learned that Jersey wasnât the only pizza that locals areproud of, there are many of them out there. The first time I ate Detroit Style Pizza, I fell in love. I had Buddyâs square pizza. The dough gets a double rise which when baked makes it an airy but well structured. The cheese is Wisconsin brick cheese. I donât know what that is but it is stretchy and somewhat tart. It is a perfect accompaniment to the sweeter tomato sauce. The cheese is put on the dough first followed by the sauce. The pie is in a rectangular sheet pan w/ sides and then baked to perfection (IMHO). You can order a half which is four pieces or a whole which is eight slices. All pizzas can be accessorized and there are some such as the Ultimate Italian, the New Yorker and so forth. There are other non pizza options and I recommend the Chopped Antipasto Salad that my husband says is yummo. If you are in the Detroit area and can get to a Buddyâs I guarantee you will have an unforgettable pizza. Heydonât tell my Jersey buds!We are honored to receive your vote of confidence, as we are thrilled to know you are now a Buddy's Pizza fan. Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience and for sharing your favorites. We aim to serve only the best and we look forward to serving you at your next visit. Thank you!

The Tuesday night 3-course dinner features a number of entree choices, all of which are winners. Had dinner with friends, two of us ordering the salmon & two the lobster tail. Every course was delicious & several of us took home leftovers. Couple that with the Happy Hour pricing throughout the restaurant and this was the perfect way to start off the holiday weekend!

Voted "2011 Top 10 Best New Restaurants of Detroit" by Hour Magazine readers "Handsomely presented and well-executed dishes." - Sylvia Rector, Detroit Free Press Toasted Oakâs cozy dining room offers an exceptional restaurant experience highlighting local
At this price point I would expect more. Some dishes were seasoned almost but not quite well and there were elements on the plate that detracted from the dish. The pork belly was yummy but the accompaniments did not highlight it. The fish of the day (Halibut) was the other way around: baby squash and zucchini were the best things on the plate- fish was slightly over (dry) and sauce was a bit overly salty. Still, this was the best restaurant of the ones we visited in the Novi area so it got 4 circles. Dear LLLLLNNNNN,We aim to impress, so I'm sorry that your experience was just okay. Your comments, which highlight our successes and areas for improvement, are welcomed as they foster change for the better. Thank you for taking the time to share your review and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a flawless meal on a return visit.Sincerely,Ferris AnthonyDirector of Food & Beverage

This was my first time visit to Steve & Rocky's. I was at a conference near by, and didn't want to make the 30 mile trip back home during rush hour. My conference colleague and myself decided to have dinner here, as we saw it was a highly rated restaurant in Novi (Number 2 out of 170). We were not disappointed. As soon as we were seated, our server, Amanda, came over, introduced herself and was ready to take our drink order. Being first timers, we asked for some water to start, as we were looked over their extensive wine list. After we decided on our drinks, we than ordered the soup My friend ordered the mushroom soup, and I orded the soup of the day, which was Gazpacho! Both of the soups were very delicious My friend said that her Mushroom soup was one of the best tasting soups she has ever had. For Dinner, I ordered the Chicken Cordon Blue and my friend ordered the Spinach Summer Salad with Chicken. Again, both dinners were excellent. My Chicken Cordon Blue, had a fried egg on top of it. Though I have never had it that way, it was absolutely delicious. For dessert we ordered the Crème Brulee. Again, through all parts of our meal, Amanda kept checking back throughout the evening, asking us how everything was tasting, and if we needed our wines refilled. We had a very enjoyable relaxing evening, and were very glad that we stopped here instead of fighting the rush hour traffic to get back to our side of town. As we were leaving, it started raining very hard! The hostess offered an umbrella that I could use, so that I could bring up the car to the covered entrance that way my friend wouldn't get wet running to the car with me! I have been to other restaurants and have not been offered to use an umbrella!! The service here is absolutely the best!! We both said that we would be back for dinner, and it wouldn't take a conference to get us to come back to Steve and Rocky's!!!!

Diamond Jim Brady's Bistro Bar since 1954, originally in Detroit, now nestled in Novi, Michigan. All the charm of a bistro with the neighborhood feel of your local bar. Certified Executive Chef/Owner Mary Brady & Chef/Managing Partner Sharon Juergens serv
Nice casual atmosphere with good food and attentive staff. Mussels appetizer is a family favorite. Salads are always fresh and tasty. Burgers are big and juicy. Nice selection of wines to go with any meal. In a world where itâs difficult to find a reasonably price local restaurant, diamond Jim Brady stands out.
