Things to do in New Richmond
A friendly neighborhood bar and a fun convenient destination for casual drinks and great food. Roosters is cozy yet spacious enough to accommodate receptions and parties, pool and darts, bands and bean bags, motorcycle rides and 6 big screen TV's. We have
We travelled a one hour convoluted route on country roads to find this place on a recent Friday afternoon. It was recommended by a local for it's Friday Fish Fry which we were really excited about. We were told that everything was homemade, so that really got us interested. We were disappointed. In our experience, a Fish Fry means all you can eat. It wasn't the case here. It was simply a menu item, and a pricey one, in our opinion. It was $14.99 for four medium strips of battered and deep-fried cod, a tiny portion control plastic cup of chopped, flavorless cole slaw that had a heavy preservative-chemical undertone to it, and bland French fries (deep-fried from a frozen state). One tiny slice of lemon, and a small portion control cup of tartar sauce rounded out the meal. Our overall impression was that the fish was bland and overly greasy. It certainly wasn't the homemade heaven that we were expecting. Everyone in our party agreed that we would not come back. But, you never know until you try, right? As for ambience, it is quite odd, really. It is a combination of ultra plain standard issue lunch tables and chairs and oddly constructed tall and long boxy "tables" that are uncomfortable to sit at because your legs don't quite fit underneath. Metal trusses from the ceiling seem to indicate that they are going for an open industrial look, but they are oddly juxtaposed by ambient pendant lighting. If you are looking for an average place to have a beer, listen to country music over the PA, play pool and maybe have a snack, this place might appeal to you. On a positive note, our waitress/bar tender was very attentive and personable.

What else can I say? It's pretty darn tasty, the portions are big and the prices quite good. I went with 3 other people and everyone enjoyed the food. I had the nachos which are bomb, but if you are not sharing with a small village order the half size. The service was also very good. I will be back.

I have been to Randy's multiple times as the location for professional meetings for a group with whom I work. It's a nice central location easily accessible off of Highway 65. The meeting spaces are very conducive for meetings with one large venue and another smaller venue. Both venues equipped for multi-media presentations. At these meetings, we usually do a buffet with Italian, Mexican and Chinese options. The food is good. I like the Italian option the best. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.

We've eaten here ten or fifteen times over that last four years. The food has usually been good to very good for bar food, with an occasional greasy fish filet caused by oil temp not being hot enough. Pizza is well above average if you like thin crust. On occasion, he have had a certain elderly female waitress (I think she may be an owner) who has made some meals aggravating. We're not local regulars, and there is a noticeable difference in the way she treats "us" vs. "them." Also, watch your bill from her. Last time, I ordered iced tea. I took a swig and noticed a soapy taste. I returned it and asked for a soft drink. She then charged me for both. Really? When we go there, we'll wait near the door to se if she is working. If so, we try to figure out which tables she's serving and then sit elsewhere. It's kind of a little game to us.

First timers and we will definitely be back. The cheese curds were average, but go there for the burgers. The mushroom Swiss burger was one of the best burgers Iâve ever had. It was grilled perfectly and lightly seasoned, allowing the natural flavor of the meat to come through. The bun was toasted just right. My husband had the Meister burger and said it was excellent. We sat outside overlooking the lake. It was a perfect place to stop for dinner on the way to our cabin in Cumberland.

We love this place. Cozy, yet fun atmosphere, consistently prompt and friendly service, and always delicious food. Because it is a quality place to dine, it can get busy. I suggest going at a non-prime meal hour. This place offers a variety of different food, all made from scratch. Fish fry and prime rib specials on the weekend - both are superb and I am picky on both. On our latest visit I tried the creole chicken bowl and wasn't disappointed. Great flavor. There is always a variety of homemade desserts which are a MUST!Highly recommend! Great prices for the serving size and quality.

My wife and I met with another couple Sat night, starting at the bar for drinks. The Laurel has a good selection of traditional supper club cocktails, including my brandy old fashioned. After drinks we all decided to move to the restaurant for dinner. We were all served fresh from the oven popovers with honey butter and a carafe of water. Three of us had variations of shrimp as our main entrees (served with salad, soup and choice of potato); the other was vegetarian shepards pie, one of the house specialties, which looked, smelled and (I'm told) tasted delicious. Our server (Ashley) was amazing, very attentive to our needs, and keeping us very well informed of the status of our food items, despite serving a number of other tables including a large party of guests who were seated soon after us. It was a wonderful experience on all levels, a delightful two hours, with zero time pressure and friendly efficient service throughout.

A well rounded menu which any person could find something to eat. My sister had a Greek flat bread and it was amazing. I chose The Coop flat bread and it was ok. The concept was good I just found it lackluster (tasteless) compared to the Greek flat bread. The cafe has a nice ambience and the staff was wonderful.

A farm-to-table Bistro & Gelato Café located in New Richmond, known for our all day menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We serve a large variety of gelato, and have a full service espresso bar, and impressive wine, beer, and cocktail menu as well! Pasta
Wow what a suprise, scratch made everything. The pasta was wonderful the bread and all the trimmings were the best in a long time. Staff friendly and welcoming made ya feel like you were a regular our first time. The deserts were very simple but taste hugely outshined the presentation. Absolutely a dont miss if your in the area.

Family owned and operated since 1990. We had a fire in 2009 and took 8 months to remodel and start from the ground up and we added on a roof top patio. We take pride in serving the best experience we possibly can to you and other customers. We offer 45 ta
The food and service were both amazing! Everyone should be sure to check out the rooftop patio...it has a separate bar and food service available as well. This is not my first visit. We love Champs!Thank you hsbeachgirl for the great 5 STAR review and feedback! Nice weather like today and the roof should be open for the rest of the summer!
