This place caught me by surprise. Iâm not sure what I expected but I was really glad we dined here. I had the Walleye sandwich with a salad. Service was great and our waitress was really attentive. The salad was served on a really nice and cold plate to keep the iceberg lettuce crisp. While the salad was simple it did the job. The sandwich was great. Really crispy fish. I ordered the cheesecake for dessert. This was an amazing decision. One of the best slices I have ever had. It was SO good! The waitress will drop off your check. Just take it to the counter to pay (donât forget to leave a tip!). Iâd totally go back.

Stopped here for a quick dinner on Halloween evening. Sat down but waited 10 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. Apparently, she was having a costume "malfunction" as the cook came out to bring us water. When the server finally took our order, she explained which made up for the initial lack of service. We hadn't been here to DW's for almost 5 years but have been visiting this restaurant since they first opened in Brooklyn Park many years ago before moving to the Crystal/New Hope area. The business is still owned by Dorothy who has always run a very nice restaurant. The property itself is in a small strip mall so not real noticable to the public but as always, the food was great and the proportions very acceptable. Hope to visit here again soon.

Featuring woodfired rotisserie cooking, Doolittles Woodfire Grill is an experience that ignites all of your senses! The woodfired rotisserie grills meat over an open flame for a savory wood roasted flavor. The rotation of the rotisserie creates self basti
Food was excellent. Our group was large, we ordered a wide variety of food, and everyone was delighted with their dinner. Only problem was the staff refused to seat us until they could seat us all together. We numerous times indicated we could sit separately. I had a 1.5 hour drive home after the meal and did not want to leave too late. But they made us wait and wait and wait. I was seriously just about to walk out the door to go to the Chipotle next door when they decided to seat us. If we wanted to sit together I would not think twice about the wait since we had not made a reservation. (We had 12 people.) But we kept insisting we did not need to sit together. I will think twice about coming here again if I have more than 2 people.

Stopped here after purchasing a certificate from Restaurant. com. Didn't know Santa was coming on this evening. It was fun to watch him interact with all the guests. The service today was excellent provided by our server Grace. The bathrooms were old but clean as well as the rest of the dining room. Tried pancakes and they were good. Overall this visit was great!

The blueberry pancakes were delicious, with blueberry compote and whipped butter. Regular pancakes were also good; I shared my blueberry compote with my husband. The coffee was a bit stronger than we care for but the heavy cream they served with it toned it down. I had to ask about the cream and was told it was heavy cream (whipping cream?)Our server, Aisha, was excellent and our order came out of the kitchen fast! I think the key to getting a table for breakfast is to get there before 9:00 a.m.

Great service and place was cozy and clean and well organized. Loved the choices and that breakfast served all day. Had roast beef and meatloaf dinners and both were wonderful with mashed potatoes and gravy and delicious. We would return and bring others to share in this local gem of a cafe so close to home.

Went here for a meeting with a friend. Ordered the cheese curds which were terrific. Lightly breaded which let the cheese do the work regarding taste. Really good. The main plates were only average at best though. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich which was dry and did not have a lot of sauce on it. It tasted like a chicken sandwich and not a buffalo sandwich. On another order, they ordered the BLT wrap which was a lot of bacon but not a lot of flavor. On the upside the service was fantastic. I like service with a little attitude and who can take a comeback. Had a fun time but I wish the food was a little better.

Funky place (in the best kind of way) run by a restauranteur family. The breakfast choices are creative and delicious. I was there with my future son-in-law, but my 83-year-old dad has also eaten there and really enjoyed it. Service was excellent, and friendly to the point of being slightly playful. Would eat there again anytime.

Super fun German festival with music, games, costumes and oh the food. I was very pleased with the quality and creativity of the choices. So many delicious items; mini Rueben, sausages, fried pretzels, plus Giant pans of paella. Good beer options too. Next year I'm dressing Deutsch.

Great larger greasy spoon breakfast spot that always seems to be full. Servings are very large so prepared to be full when you leave! In addition to standard breakfast fare, they offer a great selection of different versions of eggs rancheros with spicy sauces. A little more expensive than smaller diners as most dishes are in $11-$12 range but still a good value given food quality and portion size.
