Funny story - as I entered this pub with my husband and 95 pound service dog, the young man that was working stopped us. He pointed and said something about leaving that outside. I assumed he was talking about my service dog (this sort of discrimination happens from time to time) but NO!! He was talking about my coffee cup!! What a relief! Turns out he was just about the nicest guy and he was very friendly and helpful! We ordered the carne asada fries as a starter, which was almost a meal in and of itself for the two of us (me and husband, not me and dog!). Then out came my fish tacos and my husband's grilled cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries, and I nearly ate myself to death! The food was fresh and delicious; we felt it needed a bit more salt and pepper, but that's easily remedied at the table. I am embarrassed to say that between the two of us, we finished all but a handful of fries. Brought those home and made a killer stir-fry for the kids the next morning! I would definitely recommend stopping in here to eat, and if you like beer, you're gonna like this place even better!

Stopped by for a quick lunch during a daffodil photo shoot. What a great surprise!Deli sandwiches were delicious. Rex Special and Italian were great. Carrot Cake for dessert. Also outrageous. Definitely adding Rexville Grocery to our list of eateries in the area.

I asked a friend who had a brother that used to live in Mt Vernon for a good restaurant and she suggested Max Daleâs. I had the filet mignon which was cooked correctly and a decent baked potato. Would return if I was in the neighborhood

The food here is giant sized . My granddaughter had a mickey mouse pancake as big as her plate. The biscuits were also very big and actually pretty tasty. Everything was cooked well and service was quick and friendly. I will eat here again next time I am in town.

We went pre-theatre for dinner, which the server was good enough to ask about so as to make sure we had our food in time - they were busy. Good selection of wine by the glass and beers. People with food allergies or avoidances will particularly appreciate the menu, which identifies for each dish whether its gluten-free or has options, dairy-free etc. Items like calamari are gluten free, which they do wherever possible. Our meals tasted good. Mine did have an issue, which was addressed quickly and the server was very apologetic.Easy walk to the Lincoln Theatre.

Located in historic downtown Mount Vernon, Câ¢SQUARE is home to Skagit Valley Food Co-opâs bakery, ice cream shop, and Third Street Cafeâa locavoreâs dream restaurant boasting made-from-scratch dishes along with Skagit Valleyâs most unique wine list. Swing
Here is a relatively new restaurant. Their bakery goods can't be beaten, meals have been good but what I like are their desserts. At one time they had a Cuban Brulee that was to die for. Fortunately I didn't die, so when it wasn't on the menu I tried coconut lime cheesecake. How many desserts can I eat in one sitting? Tihe only item I've had that I did not like was the coffee It was better this month than the other times I've tried it.. After eating check out the bakery, ice cream and some wonderful meats.

We loved the breakfast here. The ham & cheese omelet was just right. The breakfast potatoes were very tasty and the pancakes were among the best I have had lately. Both service and the facility were excellent. We will definitely return when in the area.

Skagit River Brewery is Skagit Valleyâs Original Brewery with real food! Family & Pet friendly (on our deck). Now featuring a Tap House and Full Bar.
We were in town on vacation and stopped in for lunch. Our server introduced us to new brews we hadnât had before and gave us a few ideas for places to visit while we were in town. The food was great, but the service and atmosphere were even better.

We are a made from scratch breakfast and lunch café and bakery celebrating over 38 years in business.
This the second visit of the Labor Day weekend. Yesterday relaxed early breakfast served by sweet young team, today (Sunday) very busy but very well managed by a wonderful young group of folk. The breakfast quality fresh, clearly local produce, and delicious. Yesterday a great Morning Glory omelette (my wife had the Fishermanâs Breakfast w/Poached eggs) today we both had the Fishermanâs Breakfast. The raspberry jam and gluten free bread produced on site or locally and so good we bought some to take home. The gorgeous old rustic dining room full of folk of all ages happily chatting and sharing family time and not one single phone in sight. It doesnât get any better than that.
