We had three couples in our party. Hot pork sandwich good, corn chowder good, service good. Cons: Prices have increased and are a little high. Fish sandwich with Mac and cheese was $10.00. Other places charge $12.00 for the dinner. Roast beef au jus would have been good if the roll hadnât fallen apart. One persons mac and cheese was mostly the topping. Haddock was disappointing. All couples agree - stick to breakfast here. Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Because we use only the finest ingredients in our food preparation, we are at times challenged to provide the large servings while keeping prices low. We do appreciate your feedback, and hope that you will visit us again soon.

Stopped for lunch...so many specials it was a difficult choice. Not only breakfast choices and lunch choices but HOMEMADE dessert choices. My choice was soup of the day (green pea) and a jalapeno cheese bacon bbq hamburger (yummy) Service with Kathy and Sherri were wonderful with their attitude and with knowledge
During an overnight trip along the east side of Lake Ontario my wife and I happened to stop in The Lakeside restaurant for lunch and delightfully surprised. The food was freshly prepared and tasty. The portions were so generous we would have been satisfied with sharing their half-pound burger and a bun toasted just right (probably brioche). The service was very pleasant, informative and attentive. A fun extra is the rustic interior with a fishing theme and displaying a selection of reels from early 1900s, models of fish presumably still captures nearby as well as other local elements - all understated. In fact, we liked it so much we returned the next day on the way back, ate there again and took home some of their amazing desserts!

Good consistent foodLove the breakfast Buffett Even dinner is good here :) It's semi hidden but just off 81 but worth a travel.Easter dinner there is out of this world....biggest ham steak you've ever seen Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am happy to read that you enjoyed the food and hope you dine with us again soon! Have a wonderful day!
We have passed by this place many times. The appearance may scare you away, but you are misjudging it. One day we passed by and it was packed and so we said, â Maybe we are missing out on somethingâ We stopped and placed our order for a 1/2 wood roasted chicken with two sides at $10.00 each. They have a small inside bar area , but the eating area is an outside pavilion. Take outs are available. Check out their website for hours open. Great stop for local fisherman after a day on the water as it is just off Rte 3 at Mexico Point. Parking is sometimes limited when they are busy but you can always find a spot close by. The food was delicious....chicken was moist and seasoned with their own seasoning, which is available to purchase. Give it a try!

The Eis House has proudly served Central NY since 1977. The Trimble family acquired the business this year and plan to preserve the tradition while developing new offerings. While we are well known for our award winning garden weddings and receptions, we
The restaurant was really outstanding. My husband ordered the pickled pig burger special -- comes with ham, bacon, pickles and BBQ sauce. He said it was very good. My meal was also very good -- veggie rice bowl with shrimp and scallops. We also had the brownie ala mode and chocolate mousse in an edible chocolate shell for dessert. All the food was really good and there was an excellent selection of craft beer. There was a pretty extensive menu available. The service was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Hello Satiation-Seekers, adventurers, and curious-minded. As business and life dictate, work has journeyed me throughout the great sweep of New York State again, traveling from the confines of Brooklyn, NY (Carroll Gardens, BK, hello 'Little France!') to the great harbor city of Oswego. I am like the pioneers of old... heading west! (except for the Hawaiian shirt, loafers, and automobile :) Upon such a lovely crossing was I introduced to the wonderful 'Daddy Ed's,' tucked into a little side street off of the main road running through Mexico, NY. I was delighted to try an upstate staple of Friday evenings, the blessed fish fry; a tradition of lent that carries through the entire year with many northerners. Ms. Sally, who probably knows every piece of cutlery, every ingredient, and every squeaky drawer and cupboard in the place, was our server. She likely knows many by name and welcomes strangers as she would the weekly wanderers, with a friendliness that makes even the solo diner feel at home... comfortable. Who adds warmth and character through her northcountry charm, which I have found is shared by many around these parts.I suppose you happy readers are more curious about the food than my wordy ramblings so let me recommend the mighty 'Fish and Mac.' For under 10 US dollars you will delight in the lightly fried, crisp haddock sandwich whose filet overwhelms your toasted bun. And whose Mac and Cheese quickly disappears under the compulsive scoop of the happy fork. Filled, content, and pleased, you will leave with promises of never eating again as you will be so full. But I imagine, when the week turns over again, and you and your happy families are considering a way to wind down your work week, and energize yourselves for the promising weekends filled with great times running, playing, and working in the beautiful upstate yards filled with their lush oaks and maples, and the lovely perennial gardens that greet the roadside passerbys, you will think of the warmth and charm of Eds. Of the Fish and Mac. And make your weekly return. As my meal finishes, I watch the revolving tray of desserts and regretfully wish I'd left some of dinner for leftovers. So I'm taking my dessert to go, along with a great impression of Ed's, of your American diners, and of the communion that is food. Many thanks Mexico. To many more...Happy Travels!@Bruno
