Hurricane Michael gave us a good excuse to update our decor and we are back open for business. What better place than St. Joe Beach to be Shipwrecked. Luckily, the Galley is intact and the Ship's Cooks are preparing The Best Oysters, Seafood, Steaks and B

I can't believe this hasn't yet been reviewed. I specifically picked up a business card on the way out in order to leave a favorable review because it was so exceptionally good.
Best fried oysters we have had in years! They were juicy, plump, fairly large, and perfectly cooked with a light crispy batter. Husband had a grilled shrimp taco and grilled fish taco. The tacos were pretty good couldâve been much better with a little bit more meat and Asian sauce. Coleslaw was fantastic with horseradish and wasabiâ-good! Also, the hush puppies were very good with a light batter and not too overcooked like most places. We will definitely be back here for those fried oysters on our next trip through Mexico Beach.

Our food arrive to the table cool it must have sat in the kitchen for a while before the waitress had time to bring it out. The restaurant needs a good thorough cleaning food is very average I think I would have opted to drive to Mexico Beach to McDonaldâs instead of having breakfast here. It is a bit pricey for what you are receiving if you were here on town visiting and you have a kitchen cook breakfast at your accommodation

Toucanâs on the Beach combines the three must-have ingredients for the perfect seafood restaurant experience: An amazing menu of the freshest Gulf of Mexico seafood, a fun, friendly family atmosphere, and ocean-side dining with a relaxing view of our whit
I understand the draw to go here, it's a neat looking place right on the beach with a totally beachy vibe. We ate here twice on our visit to the area. First time in the day, they had happy hour and two for one drinks. They were slightly watered down, had margaritas. Service was ok, food was ok. The second visit was at night, thought they would be way busier for a Saturday. Service started out good, then the waiter had a large table seated. We had to tell him our company were out of drinks. Had ribs, they were 'OK', nothing to write home about and could have been hot, which they were not. The location is the best part of Toucans. It's not the worst, but not up to par on what it could be!Thank you for your review, Kristie- we appreciate your feedback and I have sent this over to the staff for review. We hope to see you again in the future here at Toucans.

There were 4 of us the table two found the meals acceptable and two were completely disappointed. There was noting in the menu that popped and serenade to be unique to the location almost all items were selections available at any seafood establishment. Service was attentive but the menu choices and the quality of the food was just basic. We as a group have decided not to return!

Love the surf board tables! Decor is inviting and beachy! I had the green smoothie which was delicious! My husband had a sausage, egg and cheese croissant which was very good. The only drawback is a lot of the menu items aren't available. I ordered the triple cheese sandwich which I wasn't impressed with. Definitely would go back to try all the smoothies! I'm not a coffee drinker but it smelled good. :)

From the way the place was always crowded every morning we drove by,and the reviews, I thought we were in for a treat! The wait for a table on Thursday morning was 40 minutes. When we finally got a seat, the service was great considering how busy they were. She took our order and brought our drinks to the table and it was another 30 minutes before our food came out. we both ordered omelets, which were both wrong. At that point we didn't really care to complain, Not willing to wait any longer after killing more than an hour over breakfast. The eggs were over cooked oh well. We just paid the tab and left. May be a better place if you can catch them not so busy.

Local Seafood "Dive" Restaurant. Hailed by Coastal Living Magazine as one of the top 50 Seafood dives on America. Fresh local seafood done right!
Spent a wonderful week in Mexico Beach and thought we would give Killer Seafood a try since the reviews were encouraging. I have to say our experience was average versus the many other restaurants I have reviewed. Specifically, the service was perfunctory, neither good or bad - just something that had to be done and not a hallmark of a truly fine establishment. The food - in our case, the swordfish was well prepared yet tasteless. Would I go back, probably not. I also have to mention a pet peeve. When you stand in line to be served and finally get the opportunity to place your order and midway through you are rudely interrupted by another employee who diverts the one you are talking to and you have to repeat your order over again, well this does not set a positive tone for the evening. I did not include this in my rating, since this was poor judgment with the employees - if I had, the rating would be much less.
