This little gem is a great place for pizza and bar food. Thursdays are wing night, which is very popular. The last visit was on wing night and the chicken wings are pretty good. These wings come out with no sauce, but you are provided with a wide array of sauces to choose from. The owners are usually there or their children are there and they take pride in their place of business.
This place serves pricey, average bar food. Not sure what people like about this. The burgers are nothing special and the rest of the menu is deep fried Sysco food. Owner was nice and so was the server who is the owner's' daughter. Hope they succeed, but it's just not for us.

This is mostly a very good catering business, but they run lunches on Thursday for under $7 which include a drink, one of two entree's, side veggie usually and small desert. They have lots of carry outs for these lunches. It seats perhaps 25 people. Located in an old fire house with simple setting and great food.

Service was polite and prompt. The roast beefs are better than anything at McDonald's any day. I personally live the beef and chedder, my wife goes for their Market Fresh sandwiches.

We came here for dinner one night and really enjoyed it. It was still warm enough to sit outside on their little patio with great views of their lake. Server was very, very nice and the food was good - burgers, steak, cheese curds. Good beer selection too. We'll go back soon enough.

We were in town looking for something different for breakfast and came across this little Jewell. We almost passed it when we drove by. We didn't expect it to be adjacent to a gas station even though the name Filling Station Cafe should've been the big clue! When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly staff. We took a seat by the fireplace which was nice on this particularly cold morning. It is a very small cafe but seating wasn't a problem the day we visited. We even enjoyed watching the tv while eating our meal. Jean, our server, took very good care of us. We both decided on their veggie omelet. It came with your choice of either hash browns or a potato cake and toast. We both chose the potato cake. I opted for raisin toast instead of the wheat my husband chose. Our omelets were great. Everything was hot and fresh. The potato cake was huge! We really enjoyed their homemade strawberry jam. It was delicious. I am a big fan of raisin toast and theirs was some of the best I've ever eaten. The raisin toast was much thicker than I'm accustomed to and was very good. We were very glad we dropped by and dined here. I hope you will give them a try too! Ask for Jean, she will take real good care of you! :)

We had a group of ten with reservations and were very happy with the service and the food. The bartender was very knowledgeable and the bar had an outstanding selection of whisky and wine. Our table server was very professional, knew the menu and offered helpful suggestions. Some of our group had steaks and some had fish. Everything was delicious and delivered properly. I would give this place very high marks.

Nice to go back to a good old school café instead of the fast food places in the area. Food was good, good variety, and fair priced. Will definitely come back if in the area again. Staff was friendly but still got the cold shoulder from the locals which is typical in a smaller city. Worth a try.

We ate here twice on Saturday nights. The Prime Rib Special and Grilled Salmon Dinner were excellent both times. The portions are huge, service was good, and a nice atmosphere. We came in off the snowmobile trail and stayed at the Medford Inn next door.

This is definitely one of the better restaurants in the region, but like most suffers from a lack of support staff. Our waitress was a bit overwhelmed waiting on tables on the main floor and on another level outdoors. She tried hard but, really, they needed to clone her. The food is good but not extraordinary and the restaurant was closed for the Fourth of July.
