The options on the menu were very satisfying for lunch. The sandwiches and burgers were good with big portions, the drinks were large and always remained refilled. However, when we entered the restaurant, there were three waitstaff at the counter, but none of them said a word to us (âhiâ or âtake a seatâ). We looked to them and eventually just sat down. They were friendly after we were seated, however the lack of a greeting was odd.

Right in the square, delicious home cooking. Good salads, a plate lunch special, sandwiches, and good desserts. We enjoyed the chicken schnitzel plate, a generous serving, including salad, rice, and bread. This time we tried the blackberry cobbler and it wasnât as good as we expected- Was a little dry and they didnât have ice cream to put on it. Iâd say go for the pies- you wonât go wrong. A small town gem!

Coopers has a big reputation among Texas barbecue and it absolutely lives up to it. The brisket and jalapeno sausage are excellent. The ribs, goat and prime rib are good. Jalapeno chicken popper is okay, but I expected more pop. The beans and potato salad are good, and it's not outrageously priced. Plus, we saw a lot of people from town we saw out and about the night before so it's not just tourists eating here.Thank you for taking the time to leave a nice review. We are proud of our pit crew for turning out quality food. We appreciate your business as well!
