Caroline's Drive-In may look unassuming and humble, but don't be fooled! The food is plentiful and tasty. And I don't think that it's a secret - the place was hopping! I ordered the fish and chips - lots of perfectly prepared fries and yummy fish. My sister had the taco burger and gave it a good review. My friend, who has gluten allergies, ordered a shake. It isn't a place for a lot of gluten free options...Ambience was fun and homey. Service was fine considering how busy the place was.

Jimmy's Kitchen is a new place to eat in town (Day 2) in an old location that has been revamped. It had some new items to try on the menu that were very tasty....Honey Butter Fried Chicken & Waffles.....they are a winner! They also have a good sized menu that includes burgers, tacos, pizza, panzerotti and fried chicken. As it is brand new still taking a bit of time to get things organized but the staff were great, and the new owner is very personable.... Look forward to trying other menu items in the near future.

The Subway part of the enterprise is at the back of the store. The store also sells gas, confections and groceries. I'd been in the store three times twice this year and once last. Each time they didn't have any soup to go with their subs. After completing your sub orders a receipt is printed and you are to take it to the main till for payment. On our last visit the toaster oven was down and we were told there was no soup today. Our tab totaled $14.10, but when Grandma handed me the pin pad the charge entered was $18 +. I asked to see the tab I had handed her and asked why there were extra charges. She suddenly didn't understand English and started jabbering to her son-in-law a the Subway counter in a foreign language. What she didn't know was that I lived in her country of origin for two years and understood her conversation. Her daughter came to her rescue and apologized for the misunderstanding because of the language barrier. The bill was corrected by the daughter, who specified what was eligible for the full meal deal. In the past we've made all our gas purchases and Subway purchases at this store when we were in Maple Creek. I guarantee that will not be the case in the future.
