Dinner was ok. My friend lives close by and loves the overpriced filet mignon. However, my friend and I asked for separate checks and server said it was impossible because the computer system wasnât set up for that unless we sat at separate tables!!!! Ridiculous!! Especially since 3 weeks ago we were there and our server had no problem accommodating this request! For the high prices charged, I wonât bother to go back for that kind of treatment.

We dined here during the seasonal Oktoberfest. We should have realized when we walked into the crowded (packed) dining room ona November weekday (technically off season) that we were in for a real treat. The huge Bavarian pretzel arrived with a robust mustard and cheese sauce. The pretzel was crunch and chewy, Very enjoyable. The potato pancakes with bacon were crispy and flavorful with the addition of the bacon. The Oktoberfest grillled platter was incredible. Two slices of the most tender sauerbraten meat, a knockeurst, a German sausage and smoked pork chop. Along with this dinner a delicious, not too tart red cabbage and huge potato dumpling was offered. The salad was a bit boring but it was complimentary with our meals. My dining companion raved about her skirt teak which was a generous portion.Although we packed much of our meals to go, we couldnât resist the brownie sundae. A brownie crowned with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. This is a dessert meant to be shared by oh, two, three or four people .Service was friendly and accommodating, a bit slow due to the crowd.

This is the first time that we've been here since they expanded, and it's so much roomier than before. We didn't have to wait for a table, and our food didn't take long to come out.I ordered stuffed flounder and it came with a salad, two very large pieces of fish, potatoes and a vegetable. All that for $19.99, which I thought was a good deal. My husband ordered a BLT sandwich, which was very thick, and he said tasted good. The service was friendly and attentive which added to the enjoyment of our meal. Thanks for the great review, looking forward to seeing you in the diner!

My first visit to the Moriches Bay Diner was in 2016 and I was impressed with what I had for supper. But my stay in the area was brief so I had but one meal there. This time I was in town for a week at the beach and I went back to the Moriches Bay Diner four times! In my opinion, they have the finest, tastiest Manhattan clam chowder on Long Island. Sure, I am biased and I have not eaten at every restaurant that serves Manhattan chowder but I know what I like and I like the bowl of chowder that I get at the Moriches Bay Diner. They not only excel at the usual diner fare like breakfast dishes and burgers, they do what they call "sautees," dishes that take a little time but so far are worth the wait. I had the Greek pasta with chicken saute and not only was the chicken succulent and nowhere near dry as chicken breast can sometimes be, this dish was so tasty that it did not need any salt or pepper, just me to enjoy it! I finished that meal with coffee and carrot cake that I believe was made on-premises.The service has always been beyond reproach and the diner is spotlessly clean. Yes, it is always a busy place. And I recomment it highly.

Family restaurant with bar area. Overlooking pine hills golf course with seasonal outdoor seating. Private & semiprivate catering rooms to accommodate up to 100 guests.
This is a very casual restaurant and the food is solid. Good drinks. We usually go to meet family and I haven't gotten a bad meal here yet.
