Reviews on American food in Manitou Springs, Colorado, United States. The city of Manitou Springs is a home rule municipality located in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. The town was founded for its scenic setting and natural mineral springs. The downtown area continues to be of interest to travelers, particularly in the summer, as the downtown area consists of many one-story, adjoining, small shops, restaurants, and pubs, as well as a creekside city park with a children's playground made from unusual materials. Among other services, shops cater to tourist interests such as clothing, candy, souvenirs, and outdoor recreation. The main road through the center of town was one of the direct paths to the base of Pikes Peak. Barr Trail, which winds its way up Pikes Peak, is accessible from town. The subdivision Crystal Hills was added to the municipality in the 1960s.

We stopped in by chance for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was wonderful. The menu is unique and delicious, the atmosphere is comfortable and fun, and the staff was very kind and attentive. Loved it. We didnt order anything from the bar but the food menu included cheese platters, sandwiches and kids options. Everything sounded great and our selection did not disappoint. We ordered a brisket sandwich, the drunken goat (mushroom and goat cheese) and started with the pretzels. All were tasty. It is a little gem in a truly adorable town.

Briarhurst Manorâs construction started in 1872 by the founder of Manitou Springs, Dr. William Bell for his wife Cara. It is situated in a box canyon at the foot of Pikeâs Peak by the banks of Fountain Creek. The famed architect Frederick Julius Sterner d
We were looking forward to a quiet splurge, before the holiday festivities began and the Briarhurst came highly recommended. It was a splurge - but not one we will ever repeat. The ambiance is lovely, but the service was poor. The presentation of the food was attractive, but the food itself had no real flavor. The wine list is pedestrian, to say the least, and over-priced for what are essentially supermarket wines. We had the sense that the place is tired and in need of new ideas - and perhaps new staff. We appreciate your feedback. Please call us directly so we may better determine who on our staff served you as well as who was working in the kitchen as we want every visit to be a wonderful experience for every guest.

Local Bar in the center of Manitou Springs tourist area. Very rustic, no frills watering hole in the wall for the local yocals with so-so bar food and weird servers..... pot heads abound !As with every other establishment in this now lackluster tourist trap ..... overpriced for the level of food and service.Great place to observe the âlocal colorâ.

Locally sourced produce, beef and bakery. Our meat is ground in-house with a flavor of international borders.
The service was ok. Tables around us threatened to leave due to food taking to long. They have specialty burgers so are good if you like getting creative with your toppings. We sat outside which was good but all the umbrellas overlap each other and you have to watch yourself to not run into them. It would also be hard for a wheelchair to get around as closely packed in as they are.

We stopped in here for lunch on the recommendation of a local and we were not disappointed. Excellent wings (ask for extra crispy!) and onion rings. The pizza by the slice is a great choice. Our server was super attentive and friendly. Four people for lunch with 2 appetizers and a beer for under $50.00 in a tourist town!

Finally stopped in here today after passing it for 6 years every time we go thru Manitou. Decor is plain trending towards kitschy. Menu is typical. My wife had chicken fried steak (decent) and I had the chili rejenos (okay). Everything was made exactly as requested though, including eggs over medium and extra crispy of the hash browns.Hostess and our server are clearly pros. (I almost said old pros, but neither was above 25.) kept things moving at the front of the house and with the checkout. Server let us know the food would take a couple extra minutes because the kitchen was just pumping out all the orders for the Ft Carson troops. Kept our coffees refilled just before they hit the bottom. There are better places around town, but you won't regret checking this one out.

We drink only craft beers so were super excited to find a brewery in the small downtown Manitou Springs area. Tried a porter, hazy and wheat beer and they all were pretty blah and not really good enough to stay ....

We were walking around town looking for dinner and stopped here. Looks like nothing special from the outside but we were hooked by the Wednesday night special 2 for $24. She had surf and turf. Tasty steak , nice shrimp. Excellent. I had salmon fillet rice and broccoli. Salmon really tasty . Excellent. Good friendly service. Around $38 inclusive. 2 beers excluding tip. Give it a try you wonât be sorry.

There is nothing good to say, the server seemed like we were an inconvenience instead of a priority. I asked for just a regular breakfast and I had to put ti all together, the only meat they had was some garbage dried up turkey sausage that they charged me $4 for 3 sausages 2 in long. They than charged me 4.50 for 2 eggs, 6.00 for potatoes with there special sauce. The place is very expensive, and completely flavorless, you have to use there sauces red and green chili for any type of flavor, and that should be a compliment to the dish, not a necessity. Don't go here if you want a mans breakfast, you will get a smurfs one instead with no flavor.

The Cliff House Dining Room has gained national renown as one of Coloradoâs premier dining destinations. We are proud recipients of the distinguished DiRoNa Award and the 4 Diamond Award in Fine Dining from AAA.
I generally donât eat where I sleep on the theory that hotel restaurants have a built-in clientele that doesnât require them to compete for customers with their food or service. I ate breakfast at the hotel because it was included in the room rate. It included a pretty nice hot and cold buffet, but was missing an omelet station. For convenience, we also ate lunch there one afternoon and dinner there one night. The wine list was impressive. The food was good but not memorable. The luncheon soups were better than the salads. All in all, good food and good service.
