If your passing through Macon Mo and find yourself hungry then head downtown and locate the Beaumont lounge. A lounge is a stretch it's just a bar in a small town, but the food is good. The Gaslight room is the room attached to the Beaumont lounge they share the same kitchen. The tenderloin was hand breaded and hugh. So if your looking for some down home decent food search out the Gaslight, Beaumont.

We stopped by here after a lolli sale and were very pleased with our service. The lady was chatty and cracking silly jokes all while she was making our meal. The sandwiches were made perfect and tasted great. I would definitely recommend for a quick healthy meal!

I was in town for a family reunion and had heard good things about this place from friends and family. My wife and I stopped by to get a sandwich for lunch. We found it to be everything we had heard. It is a deli where you can get a great made-to-order sandwich (the meat and cheese will be sliced when you order). You can walk in, check out the different meats, cheeses and breads and then pick up a form where you write your name and then circle the meats, cheeses, bread and condiments you want. Drop it in the tray and they will make it the way you requested. While it is being made you can browse the selections of juices, fresh fruits, locally made jellies and jams, spices, etc, etc. It is not a large place but there is a good selection of different foods. They will call your name when your sandwich is ready and you can eat in or take out. Our sandwiches were great ($5 each and made of homemade bread, cheese and a stack of meats...almost more than we could eat). This is definitely a place to which we will return whenever we get back to Macon.

We decided to get out of a major rain storm and stop in here for dinner. It was late and the restaurant was supposed to close soon, but the staff welcomed us in with open arms and were so nice and attentive. The food came out fast and was delicious. We had a large party and everyone was happy that we stopped here. It was a little haven from the storm going on outside. It's a bit of a hole in the wall place...you know, one that is a little run down looking. But, it was also clean. Super happy with this stop!

The restaurant is a real “down home” style place. First it was not where our GPS said it was located, but we went a little further up the road and found it. The place was bright and open with a lot of windows but a little cluttered with a variety of stuff. The service was prompt and friendly. I had the biscuits and gravy which was good. The pancakes were pretty good. The eggs were a little burnt on the edge but overall the food was good and the portions were huge. I would recommend this as a good breakfast stop if you are in Macon

We ate an early dinner here at the recommendation of a friend and enjoyed it. We weren’t blown away by anything, but enjoyed our onion rings, chicken Alfredo, salads and pork tenderloin sandwich with fries. I think we’d order different things next time, but what we had was good. House salad dressing and croutons were great. I couldn’t stand the Caesar—anchovies in dressing maybe-ugh. I didn’t care for the fries, but others might. Looked like they had a great menu, many options. We got one item off the 2-5 earlybird menu and that was nice—chicken Alfredo with salad side and little dessert (we choose homemade ice cream with raspberry sauce). Service was great, portions big, prices reasonable. We’ll be back on other drives from KC to Hannibal, but try other items.

This is a great place! Food was delicious. Employees very friendly. I had chicken salad and husband had pork tenderloin. Both were excellent! Our waitress was Cheryl. She was excellent. Unfortunately my husband and I forgot to tip her but I am mailing it. I sure hope she gets it.
