Take a break from exploring the exhibits and enjoy a spectacular panorama of Blue Mountain Lake. Our Lake View Café, located right here on the premises, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers hot and cold dishes, snacks, and beverages.
This is the cafe at the Adirondack Experience museum. I stopped in for water and a snack ... had a blueberry muffin which was delicious. I saw others with sandwiches and burgers which looked terrific.Very helpful staff, and the view out the windows (or from the balcony) are simply part of the priceless Adirondack region: beautiful lake with small islands, beautiful trees and distant mountains. Doesn't get any better!
We stopped here for a bite to eat. There is no indoor seating. They do have picnic tables that are under cover. The food was good. Good place for a quick bite.
A long drive through the Adirondacks is always rewarded with a stop in Long Lake at Custard's Last Stand. They feature delicious Gifford's ice cream with natural flavors and real fruit or coffee, etc. Lots of amazing sundaes and everything you could expect at a summer ice cream stand. Worth the stop.

The visit was during early evening on a November Wednesday providing a much needed break from the big woods for a relaxing meal. The waitress was very attentive and had a great memory as she did not write anything down. The place was slow to begin as we were early for the dinner crowd. We all started with the smoked pork belly soup which was spectacular! I was still dreaming of this several weeks later and will attempt my own version. No one had a complaint about the food [4 of us] or service. For the main entree, I had the baked Mac & Cheese withe bacon on top. Reasonably good. Overall excellent food though the portion size could have been better verses the cost. The meal was pricey for what you got and the draft beers were small. Would I go there again, YES but hope they value their customers better. When we visited they were having heating problems and we wore winter jackets for our meal.

Family owned & operated since 2004. Newly renovated restaurant & pub serving Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, & Late Night menu . Open year round, daily specials, homemade soups, endless coffee, kids menu, quiet/private and outdoor seating available. Traditional
We stopped here on a slow Saturday afternoon in mid July for a late lunch/early dinner. There was only one other table occupied in the place so we were seated right away. A younger kid that was REAL friendly served us. He started out right by recommending a good beer to me. We mostly ordered finger foods of the chicken fingers, wing dings, fries and breaded mushrooms. All was very tasty. One in the party got the chicken and biscuits which was good (HUGE portion) and a couple of us got pizzas. They were good sized and made a good lunch the next day as well. Youâll laugh but the best thing I got was a cup of their potato cheddar bacon soup. Absolutely delicious!!! I would give it a 5rating except one small detail... weâre from the Buffalo, NY area. Chicken fingers should be tossed in a sauce (not given a sauce on the side to dip in). And BLUE CHEESE should be the standard side with wings/fingers. Ranch dressing is taboo on wings !!! So yeah. Nice meal, nice day, nice atmosphere. I wouldnât hesitate to stop back.
Grilled Paninis, made to order, Soups, Sodas and Coffee. Lobster Rolls on Fridays from Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day Weekend. Paninis range from the Rondeau (Roast Beef, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Red Peppers, Mozzarella and Horseradish Mayo)
Read about ADK Trading Post on TripAdvisor, so I followed the reviews to their door last Friday. My husband was skeptical, but the sign on the door said "Lobster rolls every Friday. I told him the reviews were very enthusiastic--and they turned out to be correct. We had the "mayo" style (not the hot with butter). Very little mayo; wonderfully seasoned; tons of lobster meat on a tasty roll. While we were waiting for ours, a gentleman arrived who had ordered ahead for his family--five lobster rolls! Not cheap in price, but not at all "cheap" in quality either. Friendly service in a very interesting shop. We took ours back to our camp to enjoy with wine from our cooler. Highly recommend this little jewel of a sandwich and gift shop.Am so glad to hear that you found us through the Trip Advisor reviews and chose to join us! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to see you again!Vickie

This was an interesting visit for dinner. The food was pretty decent, as it always is. But I ordered the fried shrimp dinner, which came with coleslaw and French fries. The fried shrimp were really oddâ¦.straight, like âshrimp sticks.â They were very breaded and fried, so I really couldnât taste too much. They werenât bad, but they didnât taste like shrimp either. My waitress was goodâ¦efficient and friendly. I do wish they could do something about the flies inside the dining room, which get pretty annoying. Overall, this was a satisfactory meal, and I would go back again in the future. But I would not recommend their fried shrimp.

We had stopped to eat at another restaurant that was closed, but on their door they listed other restaurants in town that were open that evening. Are we glad they were closed. The food at the Cellar was excellent, as was the service and we enjoyed our conversation with Sam. It was a nice evening and we would definitely reccomend this place if you are in Long Lake.
