Smokies BBQ.Had this yesterday as a take out tea to enjoy in the park as it was such a fantastic evening.Service: Brilliant, couldn't have been more helpful, really friendly, was told of the waiting time when ordering and was spot on, clearly very busy but still got our order sorted within 15 mins which was impressive.Food: Sadly this is where it falls down and the reason why I've waited a day to post this, I wanted to make sure I wasn't being harsh or over critical in the heat of the moment.I ordered a full rack of ribs and in terms of the quality of them and how they were cooked the were top notch, lot's of meat, no fat or gristle, falling off the bone, great hey? well not really as they were well cooked but terribly bland, sure we had a small tub of bbq sauce to pour over them but that defeats the object, I can pour bbq sauce over a krispy kreme donut and it'll be smokey and sharp but that doesn't make it good bbq food does it?We also got a half chicken from the smoker, I'm wondering if by "from the smoker" they simply mean the chef nips out for a fag between courses? the chicken was poor, very poor for £10 in fact, dry and tasteless, bland in the extreme with no hints of anything other than over cooked chicken, I have had tastier pre cooked chickens from Asda and that is no exaggeration, it was so dry it was hard to actually eat a mouthful without taking a drink immediately after it.Dirty fries, cheesy, spicy but rather average, red salt fries same again only with less interest, Mac n Cheese bites were brilliant, quesadilla was ok at least these had some flavour, pulled pork and melted cheese between two tortilla, corn on the cob extortionate £2.50 for a single cob cut in half, well cooked but hey it's corn on the cob so it ought to be.I appreciate this might be a contrary review compared to dozens of great ones but I can only relay our experience, the premises look great, the staff are fantastic, but our food was poor and at over £40 it's not an experience we are ever likely to repeat.
Family owned serving breakfast and grilled food. All quality produce
After seeing a lot of recommendation on Facebook we decided to give Fat Samâs a try. We are so glad we did, the food was awesome. We had the Double Trouble burger, Philly steak loaded fries, bourbon chicken bites and Halloumi sticks. Everything was fantastic, perfectly cooked meat and crispy fries. Restaurant quality without the price tag and the option of eating in or take home. We will be visiting again very soon!

Come for the food and beer and stay for the sports. We are not all about chicken wings but we do them well, all Free Range with our signature sauces made in house by our mysterious chefs. We rave about our own minced beef into our burgers and our smoking
Took the family for lunch on Friday. Great food - all the stuff that goes down well, burgers, wings and hot dogs. Also serve real ale - whenever I've been they always have a decent pint on.Bags of TV's for the sport too - wished I'd been able to get back there this morning for the rugby as I bet the atmosphere was banging.
