Was so glad to see this restaurant open again. Was a little disappointed in the food and felt it was overpriced. They had not been open for too long when we were there, maybe it has improved.
Really the only fast food around. Affordable and quick service. Priced right and very clean good location
Great coffee, yummy bakery items, wonderful and inviting atmophere. This is a great location as you can walk to the beach, sit inside or out and take in a great shop next door.

My husband and I have had several meals there. Good diner food. Was pleasantly surprised at the really good entree salad. Occasionally they are a little slow in service, especially when it suddenly gets busy, but I understand how hard it is to staff any business sometimes. Friendly folks. Will eat there again.

Never had anything but a GREAT meal at the Villager. Fluffy omelets- I like the Irish with corned beef. Fresh in house baked bread for toast-I like the Sunflower. Clean, well light, nice staff. Good place to eat with family and friends. You can buy baked goods to take home.

Sitting right in the center of the small town of Lewiston, Michigan is Talley's. One of the best small town bar/restaurants you will ever find that will give you the small town appeal of mid America. There is a complete bar, a pool table, 3-4 tv's and a m
First, if you look at my review history, I rarely give a negative review. This is one of the rare cases I'm compelled to give a poor review to an establishment.Talley's is a well known Northern Michigan location, and this was my very first visit after years of...well.....hype.Upon entering, did not notice a seat yourself sign, (there may be one) asked a server and was told this is the case so the two of us found a table. The restaurant was moderately busy for a Sunday night , but plenty of open seats where available. After sitting down, the waitress brought over ONE menu. Now, maybe this one menu per table is a thing at this restaurant, but I prefer, a menu per person, and hopefully a bit cleaner than the one dropped on our table. We each ordered a diet pepsi, one Talley burger with cheese plain and fries, and one Talley burger with cheese and onions with fried mushrooms. The Waitress brought the diet pepsi, which are served in a 12oz can and a glass of ice. The pricing on a can of pop here is steep, and per ounce, rivals what you would find at a college or pro sports stadium. Did a quick google look, and its actually per ounce MORE expensive than some stadiums. As we waited for our food, a server approached the table, inquired if we had ordered food, and dropped a condiment basket at our table. Now, I'm unsure of EXACTLY where this basket came from, but they seem to set these out at the order window. In the basket was ketchup, mustard, napkins, onions and relish. In our basket, about half the relish seemed to be gone, but could have been just that much to start. I will say this, the condiments sit in open air at the order window. The ketchup and mustard bottles, which are the old time red/yellow type squeeze bottles, were about half full, and filthy to the touch. Sort of a slimy film, especially the ketchup.Server brought part of our order while one person was away from the table. I was asked.." who had the cheeseburger with onions. " Since I was the one who did not order the onions, I was a bit confused because I thought she meant onion rings, while that burger had mushrooms. I replied " I think that is suppose to have fried mushrooms." I was snapped at...." I said cheeseburger with onions!" And saying snapped is being kind to the tone used. I replied " oh, i misunderstood, that burger goes there, but there should be mushrooms with it." I was told they would be out in a second and the server then said. " I'm sorry, I've just had a long day." The mushrooms did come shortly after. My food was served with the other burger. Burger is served on an extremely small paper plate........think bread plate size. Fries served in a paper cup, about the size of a pop can or so. Mushrooms in a paper tray and there were possibly a dozen or so mushrooms to an order. After all I had heard, here was my first Talley burger. Looked good, even on the small plate. After a few bites, I asked my dining partner....." is your burger seasoned? " The reply..." a bit" Bottom line.....the Talley burger is basically and un seasoned or under seasoned fried burger. PLAIN, lacking flavor, albeit served hot. Possibly the most overrated burger.......ever? It is literally a fried burger with cheese, served hot, nothing more. Fries, frozen, unseasoned, served hot. Mushrooms, frozen....served with a pre-made ranch cup from a food service provider. Server checked in once during the meal. Brought the check , which I then discovered they charge to add onions to the burger. Maybe the menu said this....not sure since, we only had one at the table. Charging for onions seems over the top, but it is the policy here. There are some positives. The bartender was an extremely friendly and helpful gentleman. Talley's has Keno, which was great. And the food was served hot. Overall, underwhelming meal for the hype that surrounds this place. Majority of staff indifferent to outright rude. Food served hot, but was just plain, nothing special food. Pop extremely over priced. EXTREME. My first Talley experience, will be my last and the final positive, is this experience happened with a party of 2, and not more.

We were in Lewiston for a weekend golf trip to Garland. Left the property to head into town and stumbled on Redwood. Our expectations weren't extremely high. What a pleasant surprise! Food was exceptional. I had fresh whitefish and my friend had a filet. Salad bar was good. Portions were great. Service was great.I'd go back!

On East Twin Lake, just up the road from Garland Golf Resort
While staying at Garland we visited the lewiston Lodge for dinner one evening. Had the pizza and it was very good. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we returned again tewo days later and had another excellent meal. Be sure and check out their salads as a meal or in addition to another item. Service was friendly and very good.
