I arrived with a group of friends while visiting Wl Cajon, Ca area. We had a late lunch and I wasnt too hungry. I opted for the grilled chicken caesar salad and it was huge. The chicken had great flavor and the caesar dressing was great. My only regret is that I didnt get a rack of ribs, bbq and chicken. It all looked and smelled so good.

My wife and I went back to the Lakeside Cafe for my Birthday, and had a fantastic dinner. Renee our server had such a friendly and bubbly personality, which was very enjoyable. My wife ordered the Beef Stroganoff Dinner which was chopped top sirloin steak cooked in a creamy mushroom gravy and served egg noodles. Served with soup or salad, and choice of dinner potato and homemade dinner roll. She Loved it ! I asked server Araceli about the BBQ Ribs dinner special and she said it was very good. And she was RIGHT ! I ordered a special dish of BBQ Ribs with a salad or soup and a choice of dinner potato with Pineapple coleslaw which was so good ! I enjoyed a very fresh salad, and a baked potato which was delicious ! The Ribs were perfectly cooked with a nice BBQ char taste with some homemade tasty BBQ sauce. The ribs were very meaty and falling off the bone tender. Both dinner dishes were huge and very nicely priced. Owner of the Lakeside Cafe Jorge, and his daughter Claudia a server came by our table to make sure that my Birthday dinner was perfect, and it was ! A Great Place to enjoy some Great Food, served with a Friendly Smile !

This is a great restaurant. The staff was very friendly. I had the pork sandwich and potato salad it was so very good. I didnât care for the coleslaw. But the bbq was so good my son had the beef brisket sandwich and really liked it. I guess it is known for its BBQ. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is busy but worth the wait.

Iâm not sure why I havenât done a review before this! This is a small...hidden...out of the way absolute gem. Itâs in the middle of a string of auto repair shops so donât drive fast or your miss it. Itâs small and reminds me of the old Chicago sandwich deliâs. Iâve tried at least five different subs and sandwichâs and all were excellent. Even their veggie sub is excellent (2nd hand report). The prices are reasonable, the sandwiches are filled. Itâs basically between the 52 and broadway on magnolia, and if youâre in the area it is well worth the stop

This is a neighborhood eatery that has turned into a local hangout. The food is good: burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc. Lots of beers on tap and a great happy hour. It can get very loud during peak times or during televised games. There are only a few tables/booths with chairs with backs to them. Most tables are tall tables with barstools without backs, which is hard with kids. Parking is limited but there's a dirt lot across the street.

We stopped here for breakfast after hiking a local landmark - Potato Chip Rock. Ordered a Ca omelette topped w/ guacamole & I saw Grits on the menu & had to order. Also, croissant bkfst sandwich w/ a side of home style red potatoes & topped w/ cheese. Oh, there was a lot of cheese on my omelette. Did I mention they like cheese here. We highly recommend!!

ur award-winning buffet will take you on an around-the-world culinary journey with a variety of unique destinations â Seafood, Mexican, Chinese, Dim Sum, Mongolian, American BBQ, Rotisserie, Soup & Salad, Omelet & Crepe, Seasons Selections, Ship of Seafoo
This buffet continues to impress us with it's selection and quality. The price is up there, but with a certain number of player points the buffet is half price. At this writing still almost $25 per person. The players points are easy to rack up.The selection....Mexican, Carving, Seafood, Mongolian Grill, Chinese, Barbecue, Sliders, Salad, Sushi Desert, mountains of crab legs, and the night we visited featured a Shrimp dish.Obviously this isn't an every night deal, but well worth a special treat.

This is a great option if you don't want to stuff your face with a dozen lobsters at the buffet. Quiet, clean and service is friendly. And yes... I paid $400 for a burger... If you count losing $400 at the slots. : ( Still a great restaurant. We will be back.

East County San Diego's premier seafood restaurant offering a vast array of fresh catches. Nestled over a large private pond, Anthony's has a setting and ambiance like no other in the area. Anthony's has been voted best seafood, best ambiance, best outdoo
The magnificence of the undersea world of Anthony's Fish Grotto cannot be overstated! I have the happiest memories here! For stunning architecture, charming atmosphere, delicious food and gracious service, Anthony's is simply the best.Scroll to see Anthony's 1959 menu and read about Mama Ghio: "An uncommon early menu from Anthony's Fish Grotto, with b/w photographic vignettes of Catherine "Mama" Ghio, her two sons, Anthony and Tod, and her son-in-law, Roy Weber to the front. Catherine opened the restaurant in 1946, when she was in her fifties and a widowed mother of three. It soon became a landmark of the city's cuisine, opening several other locations and moving to its most well-known location on waterfront in the 1960s. After over 70 years of business, the San Diego restaurant closed in 2017 when its lease with the city expired." The La Mesa location survives. Menu courtesy abaa.org.Dear Adrienne: Thank you for the kind words and the retelling of the Anthonyâs history. Our remaining La mesa location is truly a gem; an oasis in East County. The pond, the ducks, the dog friendly dining, the serene patio and lush landscaping create a relaxed and rejuvenating atmosphere. And of course one of the cities largest selections of fresh seafood and Mama Ghioâs original recipes keep guest coming back for over 73 years. Thank you again for the kind words; I canât wait to share them with our wonderful staff.Regards, Craig Ghio
