This is the kind of place we like frequenting while traveling. We parked nearby for a bike ride, then went inside for a meal, afterward. It offered a comfortable, casual atmosphere. Service wasnât spectacular, but was still pretty good. I enjoyed a nice Shrimp & scallops combo, while my wife had a VERY sizable serving of fajitas. Both were delicious. I could see eating her often, if we lived in the area.

Here's a place that wants does it right. The owner, Frank, very friendly. Staff, very attentive. Food, fresh and excellent. I had chicken special with eggplant, served over spinach, large portion and very good. Others had spicy shrimp. Antipasto appetizer perfect for sharing. And white table clothes in small Italian restaurant, you know it's good. Prices very reasonable.

Reopened recently after being closed for a while.
After a long absence & hearing positive things, decided to visit again. We arrived early for lunch & were quickly seated. Our pleasant server took beverage orders & told us about daily specials. Known for their soups, neither one enticed me. I had the Reuben sandwich w/side of cole slaw. Made w/pastrami & the usual kraut, swiss & russian dressing, it was flavorful, but didn't have much meat. Conversely, the Club Salad w/pulled chicken, cheddar, tomato & egg was enough for two people! No fault of the waitress...service was slow; as they only had one chef on duty. Only the salad was a good value & it cost $1 less than the sandwich...Why? A cafe in Pkpse Plaza has better food for less!

Maybe you've been craving house-made sausage or sauerkraut. Or maybe you just want to dig into a hearty sandwich for lunch. No matter why you're looking for a butcher shop or smoke house in Hopewell Junction, NY, you're always welcome at East Fishkill Pro
Most delicious smoked turkey club sandwich with top notch service. Perfect thinly sliced turkey with bacon, lettuce and tomato on an actual New York club roll was one of the best turkey sandwiches I have ever had. Turkey was nicely smoked and the bacon was double smoked and had an excellent smoked bacon taste and was not overly salty. Wonderful friendly and helpful service. Route 52 location has a few seats inside and a covered deck with some picnic tables. Will definitely return and try something from their amazing array of smoked meats - from hot dogs to pastramiâs and all sorts of worsts. It is a must try. You wonât be disappointed.

Gastropub, serving delicious food, drink, fun and fellowship! We have music several nights per week, have seasonal outdoor seating, and a warm and comfortably elegant ambiance. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
I have had the pleasure of eating at Paula's at least 5 times in the last two months. Never disappointed. The food is five stars. The atmosphere is five stars and the service is five stars. Only one word describes this fairly new eatery...AMAZING! Poughkeepsie needed a great restaurant and now we have one! Thanks Paula!

I am a diner guy. Simply because I have unlimited ordering options, large servings, fair prices, attentive service and relaxing atmosphere. Never had a problem with this diner until yesterday. Letâs just say our server had a strong vibe that we were a bother to her because we had some ordering questions and simple requests. They (server & manager) were not warm or flexible. This is a soulless place. If you stick to the menu as written and behave like a quiet eating machine then the zombies who work at this place will serve you good food at a higher price than average for what you are getting and life goes on. However, if you are looking for a place where you and your dining needs/wants come first and you enjoy the EXPERIENCE of eating out- do not choose this place...they need to hold a staff meeting and retrain the staff to put the customer first. Keep the customer happy and they will come back again and again...I will not cross this place off my list, but they have bumped way down the list...my money will be spent where I am respected as a valued customer. THANK GOODNESS, there are MANY dining options in the area.
This is an interesting little place sandwiched between the northbound and southbound lanes of the Taconic State Parkway. It has a surprisingly comprehensive selection of locally produced foods, as well as food produced exclusively in New York State. Not your run-of-the mill grocery store items. But it is NOT a restaurant.

Stopped in for a relaxed lunch and we were not disappointed. Bartender has a good hand and the menu has enough choices for a variety of tastes. Started with the steamed clams - choice of ale or wine preparation. We had the wings, (about 8 preparation choices), and the chicken salad. Our server, Therese, was very attentive and the food preparation and presentation was excellent. Also, good Tuesday afternoon crowd for the outdoor patio. Worth a try.

Just off the Taconic
This is our go-to spot after the flea market in Stormville. Big menu that will satisfy any craving you have. They give large portions and the food is fresh and hot. Good service. Never a bad meal here. Easy off-on from the Taconic,,, Take the Route 55 exit and go west for about a mile.
