Reviews on American food in Kingston, New York, United States. Kingston is a city in and the county seat of Ulster County, New York, United States. It is 91 miles (146 km) north of New York City and 59 miles (95 km) south of Albany. It became New York's first capital in 1777, and was burned by the British on October 13, 1777, after the Battles of Saratoga. In the 19th century, the city became an important transport hub after the discovery of natural cement in the region, and had both railroad and canal connections. Passenger rail service has since ceased, and many of the older buildings are part of three historic districts, such as the Stockade District uptown, the Midtown Neighborhood Broadway Corridor, and the Rondout-West Strand Historic District downtown.

Not come across this chain before and was impressed. Steaks are very well priced and are tender and well cooked according to your requirements, with no fat.Our server was prompt and friendly and bought us some some soft, warmed complimentary rolls. When the manager was told this was our first visit she bought the bill over to ensure we were satisfied with our meal and to give us some more rolls and butter to take away for our breakfast the next day, which was a nice touch. Wine was also well priced at $23 bottle. Will now keep a look out for this chain as they have plenty of other choices if you don't want steak. Only drawback was that they don't offer a range of sauces for the steaks, only grilled mushrooms, onions or cheese.

If you grew up in the area, this is one of the first places you go to on return visits. Limited menu but everyone is here for the Dallas Hot Weiners. You can order the hot sauce by the pint if you want to make them at home. My cousin brings a few quarts back to Florida every time he visits LOL. Always crowded. Cheap eats. Fast service -- cash only/no credit cards!

We had a little mix up on New Year's Eve regarding seating, but the management there was very accommodating. I soon realized that the error was mine and went back to speak with the manager. "Nothing to worry about, have a Happy New Year"We are seated at a very nice corner table with a view of the outside and nearly the entire interior. Being people watchers, it was ideal.Drinks came, perfect. Not an overabundance of ice, what I would call a healthy pour.As this was our first visit we both went for a combo plate to get a good sampling of the menu. DELICIOUS! It seemed to take us forever to get to the bottom of the plates. This is a very local place, with lot's of "hey there" and "look who it is". but we were not let out the festivities as the gentleman and I at the next table started to wonder why so many fire trucks were going by. This evolved into a friendly 5 table discussion. Great fun on New Year's Eve. Coming back soon to check out the "downstairs" !Thanks!

Mariner's Harbor is located at 1 Broadway in Kingston and is adjacent to the Kingston City Marina on the beautiful Rondout Creek. Enjoy dining either on the glassed in deck, the outdoor patio or the dining room.
We spent the afternoon walking around the Riverfront/Rondout section and immediately this older, stately restaurant (and building) caught my eye.....If I didn't know better, I'd think we were in New Orleans. It's large, open, airy and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but what an atmosphere. Substitute and ocean for the river and you're on vacation in the old south. We decided to have a couple drinks but the bar was pretty crowded. No problem; they also have a large outdoor bar where we sat for a drink overlooking the river. We then went inside and had an additional drink and a couple of appetizers. We split the Little Necks on the half shell and the crab cakes; both were quite good. We decided to try another place for dinner, but my next trip here will definitely be here. I love the big, open friendly laid back atmosphere!Thank you very much for your feedback and we are delighted that you enjoyed your recent visit to Mariner's Harbor on the Kingston Waterfront.

From quinoa to local beef, whatâs your pleasure? It was all tasty and promptly ordered and served. Iâd come back again although would send back my burger for fresher tomato and lettuce. But, the rest of it was so good, Iâll not quibble.

Walking along the picturesque Kingston /Rondout downtown we found this restaurant, which we had already read good recommendations about it plus it was also recommended to us by a local. It positively met all the expectations! Pretty restaurant, refined, small, with outdoor seating. Full bar with a nice wine menu. Interesting food menu with specials every day. Check out their specials and take advantage of them, they are great! We decided for the early dinner special, which ends at 6pm. 3 courses with delicious choices for each. Hefty portions. Good deal for your money. The steak salad was outstanding, one of the best ever had. The tiramisu, which I usually do not like, was one of the best ever had. Our female server was very helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly.

Beautifully restored 17th century stone house at the corner of the historic stockade district in Kingston, NY. Summer patio dining, winter fireside dining. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday thru Saturday. Serving a continental fare with daily specials. Ce
Historic building in Kingston's Uptown Stockade District features a terrific restaurant. There are antique pieces everywhere to match the building. I have the St John's Waldorf Chicken (walnut crusted chicken with gorgonzola cheese sauce) twice-baked potato and house salad. Finished with white chocolate raspberry crème brulee. Everything was fantastic. Highly recommend it!Thank you for your visiting and for your review. We always love to hear from our customers. Enjoy your summer.

Soulful and Elegant cooking with a nod toward Gaelic Gastronomy. True and welcoming hospitality. Refined cocktails, wines and ale. Serving Dinner Thursday to Monday.
Bia is an absolutely perfect experience combining exceptional food with an elegant but unassuming atmosphere with friendly caring and professional staff. In other words - Manhattan culinary excellence without the Manhattan attitude or crowds. Last night we tried the roasted Monkfish which was cooked to perfection accompanied by two fried oysters. My other half had the duck which was tender and delicious. On past visits I sampled the salmon on potato boxty (Irish pancakes) which was popping with freshness, the venison carpaccio was tender and delightful and the lobster, black pudding and braised pork belly which upped the ante on what avant garde Irish chefs are attempting. Honestly the whole thing comes together as though it was effortless from the scrumptious dishes, the cool vibe and the perfect drinks. Welcome to Rhinebeck Bia. So happy to have you in our town!
