Find out what American restaurants to try in Kearney. Kearney /ˈkɑːrni/ is a city in Clay County, Missouri, United States. The population per the 2010 U.S. Census was 8,381. It is most famous for being the birthplace of Jesse James, and there is an annual festival in the third weekend of September to recognize the notorious outlaw.

ok so there's not a lot of options in Kearney, right? I found the beer selection decent, and the food options were pretty good, though a couple items weren't available due to ingredient outage; that said, the food tasted pretty good. I think the service good be improved -- there was a little too much talking with other patrons/friends(?) which seemed to impede service. It's good to have the place in Kearney and it's not bad by any stretch; just think could even better pretty easily.
A group of senior adults from our church wanted to eat here after visiting the Jesse James Farm. They have a good selection of tasty burgers and sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed them. Most of the group also went to the ice cream parlor part and enjoyed scoops of their homemade ice cream in various flavors. The prices for the meals were very reasonable, though some thought the prices for the ice cream were higher than other places. I would return if I am back in Kearney.
Historic Methodist church built in downtown Kearney, Mo circa 1896 now housing a wine bar/craft beer/cocktail bar and restaurant.
This is a nice little place put in to an old church building. Though on the inside the only "church" thing you feel is the stained glass windows. I had their pizza and it was very good! They have a beer bar (with SEVERAL beers on tap), a whiskey bar (didn't get to do this because there were a lot of people) and a wine bar. We didn't do any wine tastings this day because I opted to do a wine "flight", where I got 4 half glasses of 4 different wines. Nice way to get to try different things. They had a small little store-type area in the front and what looked like very nice outdoor seating. Would definitely go back again!

This convenient location not far from I-35 in Kearney is a dependable place to grab a meal or an ice cream treat (malts, shakes, sundaes, freezes, etc.). The menu is solid Sonic, kept up-to-date with seasonal specials and deals. Service is good to very good depending on time of day.

This is the second edition of my review of this restaurant. It comes with an improved rating based on the management's handling of an incident. The original review is as follows: had dinner here on a weekday evening and enjoyed our meal. Menu featured typical American fare, kind of comfort food, such as burgers, pork tenderloin, country fried steaks, and the expected side dishes, such as potatoes and bread or fries. There is a broad menu of beer posted on a large board in the restaurant. We enjoyed our food (pork tenderloin and country fried steak) and would be happy to eat here again. The original review posted a concern about the beverage pricing, as we were charged $11 for what we believed was the single beer that was ordered with the meal. On learning this, the management of the restaurant contacted me and was very diligent about learning how this happened. Eventually he was able to locate the ticket and establish that we were, in fact, charged for two beers instead of just the one. So the apparently unusually high price of the beer was due to an error in counting the number of beverages, rather than the actual beer pricing.Although one never likes to be surprised with sticker shock at the end of customer experience (even a relatively minor one), I do applaud the owner of the restaurant for his determination to find and correct any errors that had been made. We should have been more careful in reviewing the ticket before we left in the first place, and will be in the future. But I did have the impression that the management of the restaurant has a true and honest commitment in making certain that every customer experience in his restaurant is an excellent one. Errors can always be made. This is to be expected. To me the more important question is how is the error dealt with after it's made. This is not the first time that I have posted a five star review which is based not just on the original experience, but how it's handled when discovered. This restaurant is dedicated to treating its customers fairly the so we can all eat here with confidence. This is absolutely wonderful to hear! I am glad we were able to correct the mistake that occurred. We also really appreciate reviewing us again! Thank you for your patronage!
