We are full timer RV’ers, out sight seeing with local relatives. They took us here for an early dinner. My first impression as we rounded a corner and pulled into the parking lot was “Wow!”... the Diner is a gorgeous 1939 O’Mahoney, art deco, masterpiece and on the register of historic places. The inside of the Diner is a quick-trip back in time... amazing in it’s tiled floors, lunch counter, stainless steel and chrome fixtures, hand-lettered menu boards, and soda fountain station. Each booth had an iconic, table top jukebox loaded with golden oldies - still takes quarters. Americana at it’s best. It was a joy just to stand there and take it all in.As we walked in, our server, Mateja, welcomed us with a bright smile and thanked us for stopping by... meet, greet, and seat took 30 seconds, and not much longer for the menus and tumblers of water to arrive. The menu was a treasure trove of American favorites... so I opted for the cheeseburger and fries. Others ordered the fish sandwich, clam chowder, and the club sandwich. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. It’s very evident that Steve, the owner, is a stickler for fresh, home-made, quality foods. I have never before seen clam chowder with so many clams in it, and the flavor was awesome. We all agreed that our meals were all handcrafted quality, just like back in the good old days. We topped our meals with their home-made carrot cake. Real cream cheese frosting, whole wheat cake, not overly sweet, with fresh ingredients you could actually taste. We also sampled some of Steve’s ice creams. These are not the mass-produced, grocery store junk... this is the real stuff, hand-crafted in several flavors. We tested the walnut, fresh mint, and a hot, spicy chocolate... simply amazing. As a footnote, when it’s busy, be patient. This is not fast food. This is real food. Honest, fresh, and tasty. If you’re in a hurry go to McDonalds. If you want to savor really good food, then take the time to eat here... you won’t be sorry.Sometimes you get lucky - you find a perfect alignment of nostalgia, ambience, really good food, excellent service, and an awesome staff... for me, THIS is it!

It's Subway. Zit faced teenagers making sandwiches behind a sneeze guard with plastic gloves. The place is always very clean and the kids are very nice. Nothing wrong with it, it's just a very plain and typical franchise sandwich place.

We had to wait about an hour, including about 15 minutes to be seated, at this deservedly popular place in the country. The food, finally served after the Closed sign went up, was creative and delicious. The servers were nice, but the kitchen was doing only one plate at a time.

This has been under several owners over the years and food has varied from good to OK. Now under new ownership it has reached an all-time low. My wife and I ordered 2 dishes and one bite each and walked out. All the other restaurants in Kamas are excellent and you will get a satisfying meal in all of them. Avoid this one.

Best burgers in Utah! Just tried my first one the other day. It's a drugstore with an ice cream counter, sells cards, Mormon books, camping equipment and collectibles. Plus guitar music and sodas. I look forward to writing about it for you.

This old fashioned diner/soda fountain is a great place for lunch. The service was average, the burgers very good as were the fries. The onion rings were average, as was the shake. There is a good amount of seating, but much of the store is given over to shelves of knick-knacks. I recommend not ordering your dessert sundae from your booth, as this seemed to take forever. Just finish eating and go up to the front display and order as a walk-n.

Apparently, Kamas is having trouble staffing its businesses. The diner had a ‘help wanted’ sign on its front door, and after just a few minutes in the restaurant, we definitely saw the need for more servers. It seemed that Jessica was the only one around, and she took orders, brought the food out, and later presented the bill. There was one young man who bussed tables and refilled water glasses, but much more help should have been there to assist these two dedicated workers! Looking into the kitchen, I thought there were enough cooks to handle the orders, but it did take a long time for us to be served. My hummus plate was ok but nothing special. Usually olives that come with this choice are whole but here they were chopped. My husband’s tuna melt was just a cold tuna sandwich with a slice of cheese. A melt should be seared or grilled enough to warm it up and melt the cheese, but this wasn’t done. The fries were good, but the sandwich was a disappointment. Bill with tax and tip was $30.The diner advertises that it serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but until the staffing problems are addressed, perhaps fewer meals served per day is necessary to achieve a higher level of attention to both the customers and the food.
