We stopped and grabbed lunch and fueled up heading North. The restaurant had a nice cabin vibe. The waitress was running around like crazy. I don't know if it was just her demeanor, but she was very vocal and dramatic. The restaurant was full and she looked to be the only one working until someone from the back came out to help her. The food arrived hot and fresh and was very good. Portions were what I would expect for the cost. I would stop here again

Irontown Pasties is a pasty shop located in the heart of the Upper Peninsula. Dedicated to keeping Yooper tradition alive and accessable to all, Irontown Pasties recognizes the value of variety. That's why we provide vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free opt
I'm old enough to remember when Iron Town Pasties was Grandma T's, and before that Red Onion (which was my favorite in a store-bought pasty back in the 1980s).Iron Town is pretty good. I had the regular beef pasty, my wife enjoyed the veggie-cheese pasty. She was afraid there would be too much cheese (after all, who puts cheese in a pasty?), but there wasn't, and she found it really tasty. The crust is quite good, not greasy, and the pasty itself is a bit longer and wider than the typical pasty, but not as thick. Overall it seems the pasty is larger and more filling than others in the area. We will definitely have it again, even though our favorite (Lawry's in Marquette) is only a few minutes away.
We went and had the all you can eat whitefish served several different ways. I had it batter fried and garlic grilled. My favorite was the grilled.

Itâs out of the way...this is a destination restaurant, not something you see from the highway and pull in.What it is is your quintessential home town restaurant that everybody in town knows and gos. For a reason...great food, lots of choices, clean and very reasonably priced. If you want like dressed waiters/waitresses filling your water glass with Perrier water and wine with your meal...there are much better choices. If you want to have a great meal with change left over for the movies...Sherries. You will not make a better choice!

Great service. Great food. Reasonable prices. The rye melt was a perfectly grilled burger on delicious rye bread. They added raw onion for me, since I donât care for grilled onions. The fries were perfect and enough for two or three people to share. Enjoyed our lunch.

We stopped in here during our visit to Upper Michigan last week. They were out of pulled pork, so we ordered chicken strips, blackened shrimp and onion rings. The chicken strips were good, my blackened shrimp were a little mushy but the onion rings were huge, crispy and delicious. I could only eat 3 of the 6 served to me. The service was good, but we were disappointed that they didn't have the pulled pork. It's a nice, clean bar/restaurant.

Top line meats and cheeses in our panini sandwiches, local eggs, local coffee, homemade soups, homemade desserts, breakfast served anytime, Huron Mountain Bakery breads, gluten free and vegan offerings. Friendly staff. Great shopping in our eclectic store
You won't believe my review until you visit this place. And then, you WILL keep going back. You get your butt to Rare Earth. Experience it. You will enjoy every bite. It just may be the best tasting food this side of Munising. (And that includes Marquette).thanks, hope to see you again soon!

We are a American style restaurant and Brewpub. We have separate dining and bar areas with meeting space available.
The outside doesnât look like much, neither does the inside, but the laid back atmosphere, great beer and tasty food make this place a must stop. The menu options are typical bar fare but a few items have a twist. Try the cudighi (like an italian sausage patty) if youâve never had it. Letâs not forget the brown gravy with fries! Yum. The locally brewed beer selection is pretty good too. The servers and brewer were chatty and friendly. They spoke to us like we had been regulars. Would definitely recommend this place!
