Discover Restaurants offering the best American food in Indian Trail, North Carolina, United States. Indian Trail is a suburban town in Union County, North Carolina, United States. Founded on March 12, 1861, the town holds a history of traders traveling along the "Indian Trail," which ran from Petersburg, Virginia, to the Waxhaw Indians, and gold mining. Indian Trail was first a farming community; however, German and Scot-Irish settlers began to move into the area due to its geographical location. In 1874, the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad was built between the cities Charlotte, North Carolina and Monroe, North Carolina. The railroad, which runs through the town, brought prosperity to the area. Indian Trail was incorporated as a town in 1907, with established city limits based upon a one-half mile radius from the intersection of Indian Trail Road and the Seaboard Railroad. Indian Trail has grown rapidly in the 21st Century: a 2011 CNN article stated that Indian Trail's census count jumped from 1,942 in 1990 to 33,518 in 2010. Every Fourth of July the town holds an annual parade which is one of the biggest parades in the Charlotte metropolitan area.

The Trail House is Union County's neighborhood restaurant and pub serving quality American fare, good drinks, and live bands and entertainment.
Well we visited this place to grab dinner and see a friend performing in the band. From the outside, located in a small strip mall with loads of parking, this looks like a real nice place. Inside at first you have the same impression. Greeted by two nice young ladies, one who stayed on her cell texting who only gave me a glance, while the other assisted us and offered a table. We made are reservation for 8:30 pm on a Friday night but it was without a doubt not necessary or at least this past Friday so I didn't even mention it.So we ordered Fried Green Tomatoes, a Southwest Bacon Cheeseburger, and The Panthers Pork Chops... and mine was topped off with a $2.50 Miller Draft Special - nice. The Fried Green Tomatoes were tasty, crispy, top with Goat Cheese and bit to much BBQ Sauce drizzled on top - not bad.I ordered the Southwest Bacon Cheeseburger which was surprisingly TINY. It was good but simple. It was served with exactly two Onion Rings which were delicious, and I chose the Sweet Potato Fries - very nice. My friend had the Panthers Pork Chops served over mashed potatoes with green beans... again just ok although the setup and presentation was excellent on this dish which seemed out of place. We followed this up with deserts. He had a Strawberry Shortcake Sunday - again very simple but nicely served in a tall desert glass with a generous portion of whipped cream. I had the Summer Peach Crumble - NOT Good. Clearly the peaches were from a can as was the "syrup" it was served with. The "crumble" was really hard and I suspect maybe a little stale. HmmmBut I had that $2.50 Draft Beer which was served in a nice taller glass, cold, and cheap. Kudos where it should go - our waiter Anthony was charming, professional, and right on time with a few visits and great service. The show started a bit late with tuning challenges but turned out really nice. With a small place like this the acoustics were horrible as the volume was a bit too loud. Over all the crowd seemed happy and a few dancers even took to the unmarked area in front of the bank, normally a dance floor. This is not a family spot after normal dinner hours for sure. There was lots of kissing, hugging, cruising, and flirting going on everywhere - probably a good pickup joint. So one last remark. The Men's Room was out of control !!!! You had to hold your breath to even walk in. Clearly there was no attempt at keeping it clean that night. The smell drifted out into the dining area and I suspect the crew has become a bit nose blind to that mess... Filthy! How embarrassing for them. Will I go back, NO. Do I recommend it, NO. Is it a good place to have a drink, meet your friends, and see a local band or show, yes.Thank you for the review. We do appreciate your trying us out and posting about it. It sounds like you were happy with most of the food. I'm surprised to hear your feedback on the Southwest Burger and the Peach Crumble. You must be a big eater...all of our burgers use a 7oz. patty of fresh (never frozen), high quality ground beef. Our burgers are one of our more popular items--especially on Wednesdays when all burgers are only $5. The fried onion rings on the Southwest burger are a topping to give it more crunch, and not a side, so it's not intended to be a full serving (sounds like you had sweet potato fries as your side). We have rarely had complaints about the size of our burgers. As for the peach crumble, it is actually made in-house from scratch and is our #1 dessert. We're disappointed you didn't like it more. I will let the chef know about your feedback to make sure the crumble stays fresh and crunchy, as it should be.Regarding the bathrooms, they are cleaned daily and touched-up through the day and evening. They also received a professional sanitation treatment weekly. When the bands are playing they do get heavy use, and naturally some odors do occur. We do have two deoderizers installed in each bathroom to address this, and staff will bring additional spray when needed. We'd always appreciate it if customers notify the manager or server if there are any concerns, as we take this very seriously. We have a lot of customers who love our food and the experience. I hope you'll try us again. Thanks again for the review.
East Coast Wings + Grill, located off Old Charlotte Hwy, is a family friendly restaurant with a large variety menu including burgers, flatbreads, skillets and 60 flavors of Buffalo style chicken wings in 7 heat indexes.
Ordered a batch of 10 wings online with the new Indian Trail location pick up. Order was ready within 15 minutes and they called to tell me it was ready so thatâs nice. My order was for hot spicy cajun garlic wings. Half the wings were not completely crispy and very very mild without much flavor at all. No heat, no spice, I didnât even need a drink. They did not include the texas toast which was on the receipt. The tiny cup of ranch dressing was gone half way through the wings and veggies. Iâll give them one more try, there is a new Publix next door that consistently offer some pretty good wings.
Keeping in mind, the timeless wisdom of previous generations. We have incorporated our mothers and grandmothers scratch - made recipes into our menu selections. We make almost all of our cuisine from scratch here at the restaurant. We use eco-friendly ser
The three little piggies sandwich is the best tasting pork sandwich Iâve ever had! The pickled pickles complimented the taste and it is just full of flavor! Loreen,Thank you for the kind review! Breakfast was, I'm sad to say, marginal at best. Poor attention to prep of food, plate placement, amount, biscuits were maybe supermarket purchased quality. Nothing, including the very non-caring service, was really done in a way that would have me come back. For the readers who do not know me, it is rare that I'd ever post a negative review and wasn't going to except for this site asking me, yet again, what my thoughts were.

This is a family restaurant tucked into a strip center on Monroe Road in Matthews. The food is excellent and reasonable. They serve breakfast til 2pm and they offer specials every day. We visit a couple times a month but after hearing parts of conversations it is evident that a good portion of their clientele are regulars who are there much more often. Good burgers, good "tips on rice", great flounder, you'll find it all. Stop in and enjoy.

I like this little hole in the wall restaurant. Americana comfort food owned by a local Greek family. The meals are served hot and on time and Iâve never been disappointed anything that I have ordered. Their grilled pork chops are amazing! Plenty of food at a good price.

I've only stopped here for breakfast but I've never been disappointed with a meal. They have two pages of options for breakfast at fairly reasonable prices. Friendly staff, good for families.

Nice surprise in Indian trail, had breakfast and loved the pancakes. They have all of the standards youâd expect from a NY deli. Iâll be back to try lunch, located right next to the movie theater. Super friendly staff & lots of dessert options (B&W cookies yes)

Reminiscent of cafeteria food, but on a menu. The selections are plentiful and the food is quite good. Homemade soups daily and homemade pies and cakes for dessert. The service is absolutely outstanding. Everyone is so polite and has only service in mind for their patrons. Quiet, clean atmosphere. No obnoxious elevator music blaring overhead while you eat.
