I believe this place was once a "Blimpie" sub shop but is now independently owned and operated. It is wonderful! A bit more expensive than Subway or Blimpie, but worth it because of the amazing QUALITY ingredients. BREAD to die for, baked in the store. I love the marble rye. Hand-chopped veggies and LOTS of different types of sauces to try. They do hot or cold subs, and even panini. A six-inch will stuff you full...but hopefully you will have room for dessert because they have HOME-MADE, delicious desserts. Pie, cake rolls, and bars that are simply to die for. Spend a little more and get a LOT more enjoyment.

My family has eaten at Billâs for years- and you canât go wrong with anything on the menu! The pizza here is hands down the best Iâve had... I travel to Chicago on a regular basis and would take Billâs over anything in Chicago! The food is reasonably priced and is a good place to take family either for brunch or to watch some sports on tv! The wait staff here is friendly and attentive, and the owner is good at following up personally on any issues or just stopping by the table to make sure everything is good. If you are in Independence I highly recommend stopping here!

Located in the club house of the golf course
This place has great atmosphere for watching a game, having a great burger or having dinner with friends. We usually sit on the bar side with the big fireplace, but they also have nice outside seating overlooking the river. We have our favorites but everything we have ordered was wonderful. (Bruschetta chicken pasta is the best) A little hard to find being tucked away behind the golf course but worth the drive.
Lenten Friday fish fry. My daughter really enjoyed the cod, she said the mashed potatoes and gravy were great. Both her and her brother said the chicken and dumpling soup was very good and you could tell it was homemade. One commented, "I'd love to have this soup if I was home sick from school". My perspective: I stayed the Lent route and only ate the walleye fish fry. It was fair. I didn't think it was all that great. It came with a salad, which was nothing more than a plate of ice burg lettuce and ranch dressing. Did you run out of cucumber? Tomato? Shredded carrot? Seriously, iceberg lettuce only? Overall, I think I had too high of expectations.
The food is fine but service could be better. A lot of times you will see people waiting to order while the person behind the counter fiddles with breads. That can wait for when you are not busy as there seems to be ample breads ready. If they worked on that it would be a big plus.
