Find out what American restaurants to try in Hsinchu. The city of "New Bamboo," Hsinchu sways like a sturdy reed under the cooling breeze that rolls from the Taiwan Strait. Buzzing with the activity of numerous science and technology universities, Hsinchu is forward-thinking, attracting high-tech companies from around the world—a charming juxtaposition of modernity and antiquity for the oldest city in northern Taiwan. Hsinchu's historic moat flows through central parks and green spaces, and the scholarly carvings on the Guan Di Temple contribute to the city's intellectual sensibility. Great all day breakfast and Burgers at this quaint restaurant with Americana decor. Super friendly and down to earth staff and atmosphere. For travelers, this restaurant usually has an English paper or two for customers to browse. It's worth a visit and no reservation is necessary. I've tried the blue cheese burger, the swiss mushroom melt burger, and the all day breakfast. All have been tasty, filling, and reminiscent of burgers back home. Fully recommend this restaurant.
I went here with my friend and her baby daughter last month and without a doubt the staff were wonderful, two people didnât speak English but they were still really friendly and hospitable. Two others spoke English and were great checking on the baby, playing games with her, etc.The only thing I have to say thatâs negative is that I asked for no dairy. No cream, no ice cream, etc IN CHINESE, but I still got a load of cream underneath my waffles, sticking them to the plate (I found this a bit odd) which meant I couldnât really eat them, despite paying all that money.Anyway, the peach smoothie was amazing and my friend had a massive breakfast that looked great.Itâs got a nice atmosphere but in my opinion Iâd only go back on a special occasion because the prices are just too high for me.

Good food. Steaks were good and cooked very well, from medium rare, to medium and medium well donePrices very high, very limited selection in scotch, whiskey and wines.NOTE, WE WERE SURPRISED AT THE PRICE WHEN WE WENT TO PAY, BUT EVEN MORE SURPRISED WHEN THEY DID'T ACCEPT VISA. CREATING AN EMBARRASSING MOMENT WHILE WE FIGURED OUT WHERE THE NEAREST ATM WAS, AND IT WASN'T THAT CLOSE!!!I don't think we'll go back especially when they don't accept major credit cards and the meals are so expensive

I started going here based on a recommendation from Peggy Sue (shout out) at the Ambassdor Hotel. I was looking for some food a little closer to my realm since TGIF had closed and she recommended this place. The food is fantastic and I have never been disappointed. The chicken quesadillas are as good as I have had anywhere in the US. They also have one of my favorite beers, London Pride. Plus being walking distance from the hotel is great. I will be going here everytime my job takes me back to Hsinchu.

Pizza Rock Hsinchu offers authentic stone-baked, thin-crust, Italian pizza, baked pasta, panini sandwiches, salads, soup, imported drinks, beer, wine, in a warm and friendly rock and roll themed restaurant! It's the perfect place to grab a slice and a bee
This is a very thin, crispy crust pizza (I usually go for the thicker type). I got #1 with sausage, which had a great balance of sauce, basil, & garlic. Amazing (ie., belgian) beers for cheap (1/3 US price, 2x Belgian price), with nice music (not loud), too. A great find and next to Hotel Royal!

This restaurant is a great restaurant. Delicious burgers and milkshakes. I've gone several times with friends and family. I've always been satisfied with my food and gone away full. I agree with another reviewer with the statement that gonna get fat. The portion sizes are a decent size and very delicious.

I ordered a lunch ste menu with 8 oz sirloin for around 2500ntd.Lunch time was very noisy and busy.Service although fine but not too ideal due to the amount of guests they need to attend to. From bread to dessert, everything was pretty tasty.
