My son would rather eat at Subway than any sit-down restaurant, so we were happy to find this Subway location near our hotel (the Super 8.) The service was great. We went there at night for dinner, on a Saturday, and again on Monday before we left town. Each time, the food was consistently good and the workers were friendly.

We walked in on a slower Sunday evening. There were several empty tables so I knew the kitchen wasn't too busy. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. She was quick with refills and thoughtful with suggestions. However, we waited over an hook AFTER we ordered our meals to get our food. I'm not sure if it's an anomaly but perhaps it will be a rare exception to the rule.

My wife and I have passed this Ma and Pa family restaurant for years. But, last Friday we decided to check it out. And, what a nice surprise we had. Powellâs Restaurant isnât large. In fact, itâs a bit on the small side. But, it sure is unique. On the inside there are what I will call ânick-nacks â that were just about everywhere in this historic structure. The food was very good...much like mom would have made. The menu was full of traditional entries and they have daily specials to choose from, also. The next time we are in town we plan to dine at Powellâs Restaurant again. Itâs located at 3257 W HOUGHTON Lk Dr. 989-366-8721

Over stretching the phrase sports bar!! Two small TVs. Neither playing sports. The College World Series was on and Michigan is in the finals! The food was just ok. The chicken fajitas were flavored with bbq sauce. Is that normal? They tasted ok, but isnât it a fajita? Not impressed with the place. Wonât go back.

On our way home after a long day and stopped to get a hamburger. I had the bleu cheese burger with mushrooms and onions--very good. A little messy to eat but worth it! My husband had the cabbage soup and chicken sandwich, both were good. It was a Monday afternoon and there were quite a few customers, a good sign for a fairly new restaurant in town! I'm sure we'll be back.

I'm baaaack!!! I have been to Joe's four times since my last review and the food is still amazing. It is far from where I live, but I now go up that way once or twice a year for work and drive almost an hour out of my way to pick up a few coneys and THE BEST patty melt anywhere. They use high quality ingredients and know what to do with them. I almost did not make it the last time, so I called ahead (who wants to be the guy walking in 5 minutes before they close?). They were super-friendly (as always) and still waited to make my food because they did not want to leave it to sit even though they could have and I would have been fine with it, that is the kind of quality and service they provide. Going back up for work in November and cannot wait to swing by again...

Sunday evening dinner on the patio was nice. Landscaping around the patio was lovely. Hubby had ribs with sweet sauce. Quite good but hubby said just ok. I had the shrimp basket which was great! Just enough for smaller appetite. Had great friendly service and food was cooked fast. Would go again!

Looks like a typical diner but the breakfast was anything but typical. I ordered the special which came with eggs, three meats, potatoes and toast. Eggs were cooked perfectly (surprising how many diners canât cook egged over medium properly), portions were large. The service was spot on. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy which was also excellent, and could probably feed three people. Prices were reasonable and weâll definitely stop again when weâre in town.

While on vacation, we made an impromptu stop at Little Boots. The diner was busy but staff seated us quickly and were super attentive. The menu is varied and we ended up choosing some sandwiches and fish. Unfortunately, we all found the food VERY oily from the grease it was cooked in. Even the fries tasted like grease more than fries. Iâm hoping we were just there on an off day.
