I had the halibut (grilled) salad. It was the best halibut I had the entire time I was in Homer. However, I found the price to be a little high for the small salad and one skewer of fish. It was quite good though. Also, the water cups were like thimbles. Not sure if that is normal, but it seemed quite strange to me.

Casual...sports bar atmosphere, family dining feel....
tacos, stay because of the friendly service and fun atmosphere. Po'boy shrimp tacos are fabulous, too!

The whole family went for breakfast - three adults and two kids. Food was very good especially the Spanish omelette and the Bud 2 burrito. The burrito had extra green Chile and jalapeños. Really good. They had a nice plate for the kids, a pancake with ears. Service was very good. Coffee was good. Would definitely go back.

Oceanfront view on the Homer Spit. Lunch & Dinner specializing in local seafood.
Halibut fish and chips were great! Halibut was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly.French fries were the usual fast-food frozen quality. I ordered a pint, 16oz draft beer, per the description/quantity on the menu; it was delivered to me in a 12oz glass. I have several of the EXACT same glass and same size at home - I live in Homer). When I asked my server (who was outstanding!), she asked the staff. Some guy came to our table with a metal measuring cup(s) from the kitchen and told us it was a 16oz beer glass. It was not.So, would I go back? Yes, the food is great. I would, however, order a 12oz beer knowing that the "16oz" would be served in a 12oz glass.Enjoy!

We had a very good, and enjoyable dinner here. The fish dishes were very tasty. Portions were generous. The service was very good, and the host was particularly accommodating. It is a little pricey, but not unreasonable. Prices are consistent with those at other good restaurants on the Spit. They charge $12 to split a dish, which is something we might have otherwise considered. Recommended.

Great place frequented by locals. Had a great meal of salmon and steak. Reasonably priced. Reminded me of the supper club restaurants we have in Wisconsin

Ate here last week and had a pretty good experience. We had a to go order and it seemed like three or four folks got food, or placed their order before the one lead fellow delivered our food, which was sitting right in front of us on the counter.Wraps were good. Pizza was good. Soup was good.Be careful when ordering- their medium pizza is BIG.

We ate here and loved the food. Service was the only complaint.....it took 20-30 minutes to get our food. You stand in line and order inside at the register (table service would have been nice). We then chose a table outside since the weather was great. It took a long time to get our food and they apologized for the wait. The food was great and because of that, we would go again.

We got some bagels and pastries here to have for breakfast the next morning and they were just okay. The sticky buns were way too sweet and the bagels were not really that good. The workers did not seem all that friendly, but maybe that is because it was close to closing time.

At Little Mermaid, we handcraft our food daily, using the best in fresh local fish, meats, and produce. Our professional staff is extremely knowledgable about the ingredients, final preparation, wine and beer offerings.
The food at Little Mermaid is something you must experience while in Homer. The chef has some wonderfully creative dishes using fresh, local ingredients. My only warning is the portions are huge. Unless you can eat a lot, you might want to share.
