Genuine, corner cafe in a small town where the owners cook your meal. $5 for a massive, meat-filled omelette, grits and homemade biscuits. Seriously authentic and amazing. Cash only.
If you are in a hurry and want a quality meal, Subway is about your best bet in most small towns. Their menu and service are much more predictable, clean and good than, say, McDonalds, though many of them are fine. We have eaten here several times and love it.
This restaurant has been open 3 or 4 weeks now, so we decided to see if they had got all the "kinks" out. This restaurant is located where the Swamp Guinea was located for years. The new owners completely gutted and re-decorated the interior. There is a u-shaped bar in the middle, booth seating around the walls and tables all around the room. They have outdoor seating as well. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights they have live music. Tonight we heard the group "Big Teach", a band by the local high school band director, the chorus teacher, and the drama teacher. They were very good (better than we expected!). The menu is American with some Cajun and Mexican sprinkled in: Good appetizers, steaks, and seafood, also. There is also access from Lake Hartwell by boat and a dock to use. We enjoyed the food and the music! Great, family friendly restaurant. Music usually starts around 8:00.
Arby's is a leading global quick-service restaurant company operating and franchising over 3,400 restaurants worldwide. Arby's was the first nationally franchised, coast-to-coast sandwich chain and has been serving fresh, craveable meals since it opened i
The Hartwell Arby's was recently renovated and has an all new look. Also has a much more comprehensive menu than the past. My experience here has been very good.

We're Always Cookin' There's something about a freshly made meal, prepared just for you. Maybe it's a waffle sundae to celebrate the day you get your braces off, or a plate full of loaded hash browns after a Saturday morning soccer game. Whatever the occa
I eat at Huddle House at least one time a week, I really like the place because the wait staff and cooks are friendly and do a good job, all but one. One waitress has a problem with her mouth and ability to serve tables. She never checks back and this time she was too busy to take our order for 15 minutes, another waitress took our order and the first waitress never came back. If you get this waitress and she ignores you just tell the cook what you want and he will get it out to you in a hurry, he is a great guy.The visit was not all bad, the real waitress (number 2) was fast and the food was excellent, too bad a bozo had to make me so mad.....

Backstreet is a hit and miss. Sometimes itâs decent and other times staff is clueless and food is not even good. This visit the chicken was so overcooked it was not even good and was just dry. Several items were left off our order and it was a sad experience. Iâd drive on to Bar H in Royston or Vanna Bbq.

We offer a welcoming environment with a staff that was hired based on their interest in serving others. Our menu includes a variety of American cuisine with Southern influence and we offer an assortment of domestic/imported beer and red/white wine options
This is a place where lake people and locals gather at the table to enjoy real food in an unassuming environment. The owners are truly invested in their community and it shows. Everything is priced well, and a Caesar salad added to your entrée is only $1. Yes, $1. For dessert, three scoops of ice cream with chocolate or caramel topping only $1.50. There's no written waiting list when you come in; instead, there's an honor system of who was first, second, etc. You can't help but start conversations with others while waiting and it was a very pleasant wait. We ordered a glass of red wine ($7) while waiting and struck up conversation with the others. My only complaint is that they needed extra servers to handle the overflowing capacity. There was a note on the door "Help Needed", so we possibly just visited on a bad day. The place was packed when we arrived at 7pm and continued that way until after 9pm when we left. They had run out of a few entrees and appetizers by the time we ordered, but there were plenty other choices, so we didn't feel lacking. The salmon and ribeye were outstanding, but not such a fan of the meatloaf. If you plan to use Wifi while there, forget it ... the service is very spotty and iffy, at best.Thank you for your constructive response to our establishment! We hope you come back soon & bring your friends with you!

Visited here for the first time for dinner with friends. Although they were very busy on a Friday night, we were seated promptly. Our server was friendly and efficient. The entree's were a little pricey, but probably appropriate for this fairly luxurious setting. Our entire party was happy with their appetizers and meals. The best item of the night was the Cajun Crawfish Hush Puppies!
