We had to wait about 20 minutes since the place was packed. We were served quickly, however, once we were seated. The food was excellent and beautiful presentation and low enough prices. Three generations attended and we were all very pleased and had a wonderful time. Desserts were varied and delicious. One could tell that the servers & owner really cared about their customers & that was nice! They are only open for lunch, not dinners and only take reservations for 5 or more.

Located in downtown area of Brockport, Jimmy D's is a must visit every time we visit this area. I like the traditional "plate", with white hot dogs covered with their meat hot sauce. They have added a lot of different variations of this delicacy to their menu, giving me more reasons to visit a few times before we head back home. This is a must try.

Experience the beauty of the harvest season with all your senses: colorful arrangements of fresh & dried flowers, aromas of apples and baking from the kitchen, the taste of savory quiche or chicken pot pie from the harvest menu, the sound of crisp apples, and a stroll through the orchards where you can pick your own fruit off the tree. There aren't enough superlatives to do justice to the creative vision and hard work that make Hurd Orchards a local treasure!
This place is a wonderful place to spend some time and enjoy western NY.An outstanding farmers market, Ice cream stand and grill. The dining room is very rustic and decorated with antique farm tools, signs , toys and other artifacts. Thee staff is ultra friendly. This was a very enjoyable lunch . Of course you are very close to Lake Ontario and some of the most beautiful farm country in the nation. Much like my beloved home state of South Dakota.

New location...needs an update...Only one of their beers on tap. It is a basically a bar with beer and liquor and food. Maybe they are still in the process of renovating but it is not a nice looking place on the outside or the inside. Bartender was awesome though and the food was good! Had the fried buttermilk chicken sandwich which was thick and done just perfectly. The fries were very good! The decor and ambiance inside just needs some work. Maybe out on the deck which is right on the canal has a better look.

This appears to be a family run operation on the outskirts of town. It seems to be very popular with locals. The prices are reasonable but service is extremely slow, even for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. Not a great choice if you are travelling and just stopping for a bite while on your way to another destination. Perhaps it is better if you have time and this is the only stop you are making.
A pleasant, quiet atmosphere with friendly bartenders makes this "neighborhood bar" a great place to stop for a drink or two. If you're from the area, you'll more than likely see some folks you know sitting at the bar, talking quietly with friends and/or watching a game on tv. Although I've never eaten here, I have been told it is very good.

Overall, this is going to be simply a âGoodâ and âBadâ review in terms of organization. My daughter and I had supper here on the evening of 2/15 to celebrate the great results of an exploratory medical procedure which required me to fast for over 36 hours. The Good: The food. This is without doubt, the best pizza Iâve ever had. My daughter and I had the â4 Corners Pizzaâ. My quarters were âMeat Headâ and âMushroom Madnessâ, while my daughter had the âAll Seasonsâ and âPizza Blancaâ. The pizza was absolutely excellent! Because of the fast, I also added a shrimp cocktail, which was very good, considering how far Hamlin is from the ocean. To drink, we each had a glass of Labattâs Blue on draft. Others have raved about the bread here. Theyâre right. It is indeed excellent! Once we were seated, the service was quite good. The bad: ââ¦Once we were seatedâ¦â Others have mentioned this. While their website mentions the extensive New York City culinary training the founders of Tavern 19 have had, Itâs also apparent that the âcourtesyâ too many in the service profession in the Big Apple are ârenownedâ for, also got brought in. MHO, this seemingly institutionalized wait is either a scam to try to get people to spend more money on drinks at the bar (With Lake Road being a favorite of law enforcement on Friday nightsâ¦) or is a symptom of the chronic understaffing which is so endemic of American businesses today⦠and, itâs not just restaurants! When we got there at 7:20 PM, we were told by the hostess that we would have a wait of âabout twenty minutesâ. Iâd made a mental note of the empty tables. At 8:00, my daughter and I went back into the dining room. (Weâd been in the bar area watching people enter and leave the dining room.) In a few minutes, a table which had remained empty the entire time we were waiting was suddenly âavailableâ, and we were seated.Summation. The superb quality of the food brought up the âscoreâ of the restaurant, which you see here. Had the service been better, the rating wouldâve been higher. Great service is probably the easiest thing to do in any business. But itâs increasingly becoming rare. While Hamlin is a picturesque little town, so is Brockport. And, Brockport has several pizza restaurants with commendable pizzas and much better service. If youâre not hungry and have all evening to wait, this place is worth a try. Otherwise, Iâd suggest looking elsewhere until they improve their seating wait times.

Do not expect any frills - a big square empty space with thin walls and linoleum-topped tables. The breakfast was adequate but not special. Hash was mostly potatoes and bland. Eggs were eggs. Tea was tea. Service was adequate.

We have been going here for years! Excellent food! Excellent atmosphere for dining in and excellent drive thru to pick up food on the home! The people that work there are like family. Always helpful and happy. This is the first place friends want to go when they come to visit from out of town!
