Enjoy all-day dining in harbourstone, our hotelâs chic, fresh restaurant specializing in local, chef crafted cuisine.
Cozy atmosphere and very friendly bartenders and servers. Although I didn't get a chance to eat there this trip, there are lots of beautiful cocktail choices and wide assortment of beers and wines. Special thanks to Chad for taking great care of us the evening we stopped in!

This is only one of the dishes that were very good. The pancakes and maple syrup were devine. The eggs Benedict was perfectly done as was the bearnaise sauce to top it off. A very lovely old-tyme atmosphere and very comfortable and quiet for carrying a conversation. DOn't pass this place during your travels.

Situated on Spring Garden Road Diagonally opposite the Public Gardens this is one of Halifax's most famous pub. It is upstairs on the first floor. It also has a very nice roof terrace which was perfect on a sunny day like today. I was not looking for a big meal just a snack lunch before exploring the gardens which are magnificentI had tomato, rice & veg Soup with a small piece of bread and a white coffee. For this i paid $15,so with my Scottish sensabilities this was not cheap. Its 10 quid for a bowl of soup and a coffee. Service was also slow . 25 minute wait for soupStaff were very polite and chatty but my scottish accent is always a source of curiosity. The big draw on Saturdays is Joe Murphy and the Water Steet blues band between 4pm and 8pm. Joe has been open jamming here for 25 years similar running to the State Bar in Glasgow.I have sat in with Joe on previous visits and quality blues are always on offer. If its your thing, then its the place to be but be advised a full meal will cost ya.

We stopped by for a quick dinner and some beers. The atmosphere is great. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman who gave us a choice of tables. The service was great. Our server helped us pick out local beers to try and our appy and entrees. We had a scotch egg appy and a mar goat Rita pizza and lobster Mac and cheese. Everything including the beer was amazing. We actually recommended the place to two people travelling for the same work function as us.Hello Carlie J,Thank you for dining with us, and thank you for the recommendation! We're so pleased that you enjoyed your experience and our wonderful staff. We hope to host you again next time you find yourself in our fair city!Warmest regards,Kerri

We really enjoyed our meal! Steaks were cooked perfectly. Service was 3.5-4/5.. which was a little unexpected. Usually service is exceptional at every keg Iâve ever visited. My friend and I felt like this keg was drab/dinghy is really in need of a modern update...

Saw this on the show You Gotta Eat Here. Thought it would be fun to try, but the service was horrible. He shoved a couple of menus our way and then left us alone to find a seat. Then didn't bother to take a drink order until I said could I order one...he flippantly said "you can do whatever you want."The food was only ok...certainly not worth going back to.Would NOT recommend.

Darrell's has been a favourite stomping grounds for students, local professionals, neighbours, families, first daters and all who have heard the rumblings of our fantastic food and great service.
I dined here twice during the two weeks I was in town. On my first visit I had the MOB salad which was filled with grape tomatoes, carrot, cheddar, roasted chicken, mandarin orange segments, sprouts and sliced almonds topped with a tasty honey-dijon dressing. On my second visit, I enjoyed the Rocket Swiss Burger - topped with caramelized onions, mushroom confit and garlic aioloi. The burger was cooked perfectly and was obviously fresh-made. Service was always friendly, welcoming and efficient. Atmosphere is old-school diner-like and casual. The outdoor deck is quite nice, especially on a warm summer night. Next time I'll try their peanut butter burger!
