Things to do in Grove
We had heard that this place had good food but an odd setting. It's in the convenience store of a gas station. You pick up your menu at the cash register, place your breakfast or lunch order and pay for your meal. They give you a number for your table. They have the standard convenience store selection of coffee and soda choices that you get yourself. They do cook your order and bring it to your table .Hubby got the Big breakfast: two eggs, two sausage patties, hash browns with one biscuit and gravy. I got a two egg veggie omelet. I much prefer the omelet here to the one at Drakes across the street.Plastic utensils and paper plates make for a quick clean up though. We'e definitely give this a second and third shot.
Drive In
Hubs had a double cheeseburger and he said it was good, altho he ordered fries, they brought him tater tots. I had a foot long chili cheese dog with tater tots. I had to ask them for a fork because it was stuck to the container and there was no way to pick it up with out a fork. I asked for onions and counted five pieces of onions. It was just ok. The employees didn't seem very friendly. Felt like we were bothering them. Do we recommend? I don't know. Will we go there again? I don't think so.
Ate here on May 12. No complaints, the food was good and the service quick and friendly. It is located in the Walmart, so it's convenient if you are there shopping.
We have been visiting Grove every two weeks, we make this place a must to visit. We have tried everything from appetizers to desserts and nothing has disappointed us. Servers are always friendly, food is always good and its delicious. My grandson eats a rack of ribs and a banana pudding every time we are here. He loves it and so do we! If in Grove go find this little hidden gem!!

Stopped by for a quick breakfast before a day of sightseeing Clean, wait staff business like than friendly for a small local eatery. Hash browns arrived cold, not Luke warm, cold. They did bring replacement but no compensation. No frills, food ok, nothing special.

We stopped in for a potty break and a bite to eat. We had planned to share a sandwich but the "homemade pie" sign caught our eye and we caved!! I had the peanut butter pie and my husband had the chocolate cream pie. Both were outstanding!!! The crust was flaky and the fillings amazing. The restaurant was very busy so we had to wait a little more than normal but it was well worth the wait. We will definitely stop in here again.

This place is very charming and the food was absolutely delicious. I had heard and read mixed reviews about the service so I wasnât sure what to expect. The hostess basically hollered at us from the back of the restaurant asking how many and then just pointed to a table. Granted it was the middle of the afternoon and they were not busy but that just seemed odd and kind of rude. She also had a frown on her face the entire time we were there and never again acknowledged our presence. Our server was ok. He was very nice but seemed timid and unsure of what he was doing. It felt like we may or may not get what we ordered. But we did...and it was amazing! The cheese board was spectacular (& huge) and we also had a couple of other appetizers and salads. All wonderful! We will eat here again and hope that the service has improved. Loved the decor and look forward to trying other things from the menu.

Stopped in for dinner. Was seated after a short wait. Pleasant interior. Nice views of water. Outside tables. Full Bar. Good food. 2 entrees ordered. Both the pork chops & coconut shrimp were good & plentiful. Came with baked potato, roll, veggies, & salad. Our server, Trina was very attentive & pleasant. Will definitely return. :)

Chickanellas = Homemade Small Town Goodness! We stopped in on a VERY rainy Sunday morning. The service was friendly, menu fun and food homemade and tasty!Despite breakfast being great, looking at the lunch menu I wish we had another opportunity to explore the menu...or a cooler to take some soup or dessert to go!The kitchen sink breakfast casserole was better than I can make at home and cinnamon roll was delicious! Best gravy I have had in some time as well.If you are looking for a quaint local eatery, this is your jam! #eatlocal
