We couldn't wait to try this restaurant based on its phenomenal reviews. This morning we had the opportunity and the food did not disappoint. The food quality and flavor combinations were outstanding. However, from the moment we stepped in the front door until the moment we left there wasn't"t a single friendly demeanor. The entire staff looked absolutely miserable to be there. They were not helpful and they were very short with their replies, almost to the point of dismissive. I rarely write reviews about employees because everybody is entitled to a bad day but you can't run a business with everybody having a bad attitude on the same day. There are too many other great restaurants in Detroit that will be far more welcoming and appreciate the business.
On any visit, you will see couples, singles and families here enjoying great drink and food. Even if you are not a beer drinker, there are a couple of wine choices and soft drinks. Staff is great. So happy to have this place in the neighborhood.

Featherbowling, steamed mussels, more than a dozen beers from Belgium... at the Cadieux Cafe, as the bumper sticker on the wall says, âItâs Beautiful To Be Belgian.â Since its days as a Prohibition-era speakeasy, the Cadieux Cafe has been a social hub for
Our group (visiting from Pennsylvania) had 14 people.4 parents, 10 kids ages 5-18We called ahead and made reservations for dinner and feather bowling. Some of us were skeptical and ALL of us loved it! Unique atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, great food.Feather bowling was so much fun! Our group had a blast. Kids, moms, dads, even the teenagers!Since it was Wednesday, we got to enjoy a little karaoke before we left.My son turned 10 that day and said it was "The Best Birthday Ever!!"Great Experience. Thank you, Cadieux Cafe!
I LOVE Sweeties. They have ice cream from 6 or 7 different creameries and the ice cream is some of the best I have ever eaten! Each one is delicious and different. Fresh ingredients are apparent with each taste. My favorite is the chocolate cookies and cream which comes from Madison Wisconsin and is just wonderful. Heaven in a dish. I will definitely come back to Sweeties.

Came for lunch at 11:30 had to wait outside in the rain for someone to open the door even though people saw us. There was a hair in my salad. Waiter was nowhere to be found had to tell the busboy. Salad was wilted and almost spoiled. Chicken pot pie was bland. My grandsons meal was not prepared as asked, as a result the child was not able to eat his meal prior to a dr appt. Had to ask the busboy to cash us out because the waiter was awol. A manager never came to address the hair in the food.

Great Jazz groups play on the weekends
My family of four ate here in late June 2018. My 16 year old son wanted to hear some live jazz music and this is a great venue for that. The Jazz was great! The featured performer, Randy Napoleon, is a jazz guitarist and was excellent. The service was very good bordering on great. The food, however, could use some work. My filet was over cooked and my younger sons burger was very dry. I would come back; however, I hope they work on the quality of their food.

Enjoyed the food and our bartender/hostess but then our waitress was borderline rude; absolutely no personality. We had 5 adults and sat back away from everyone with our young child and three grandchildren. Never encountered a mandatory 20% tip. It answered why she didnât put in any effort. I would return for the food but refuse the waitress section. Service affected my rating.

Situated on Kercheval & Lakepointe in Grosse Pointe Park's business district, Atwater in the Park is proudly serving handcrafted beer and spirits in a beautifully renovated historic church! A biergarten and gastropub with a unique and unorthodox dining ex
We went there after going out with my mom she wanted to try it. First the good ! I like the ambiance of the church setting. It wasn't very busy for a Sunday afternoon. Besides them having several home brews they make ( had the Detroit Dry cider not bad ) they have a nice menu . I had the chicken and waffles , my wife the chicken sandwich with Habenero dressing . My mom a nice salad and onion soup. I thought the food was excellent I got 2 waffles and a plumb piece of chicken which my wife also complemented her chicken. My mom enjoyed hers as well. Now the bad ! The service was very disappointing for the amount of people and the amount of staff they had. It took forever to get our food and when we did my wife and I got ours but my moms still took a bit. Really for soup and a salad ! Plus our waitress never asked if my mom wanted her soup first to start and salad when we got ours. She was nice but forgot some small things and wasn't really on the ball . My wife and I don't live in the area my mom does we would go back for the food and ambiance but if the service is like that again that would be it.

Very much impressed with this diner. Cozy little place (and I do mean little) in the heart of Grosse Pointe. Amazing food, at reasonable prices. Waitstaff incredible, especially Lexie, our waitress.Managed to take care of 9 of us, without skipping a beat. (Thank you, Lexie)All were satisfied and most of us took 1/2 home. Not only a great diner, also has a bakery within, with AWESOME desserts to buy!!!Below is info for diner, specials of the day, Southwestern Chicken and Rice soup, my order of Grilled Ruben Sandwich w/ Onion Rings, slice of Triple layer chocolate Cake. Then, a card with bakery owners store info, who also sells desserts in the restaurant. My purchase for home(next photo)is 2x2 Maple and Chocolate Bumpy cupcakes and a Lemon Bar. Fantastic food and dessertsThere is outside seating. Make sure you get there early at lunchtime. We got there at 11:20 a.m.Place was loaded by 11 45a.m.You will not be disappointed to eat here.I'm so looking forward to going back soonLexie
