Find out what American restaurants to try in Gros Islet. Gros Islet, on the northern tip of St. Lucia, is a blossoming destination, at once remote and exciting. The best way to explore the shoreline may be Island Riders, where riding veterans and beginners alike can trot along on horseback and chat with the locals. The Jump Up street party, perhaps the most recognized of the town's attractions, is also a must for a taste of Gros Islet's unique blend of food and music.

Ideally located right on Reduit beach, Spinnakers serves good food every day, breakfast, luncheon and dinner. The menu is varied with the lunch menu changing daily. Our food is all freshly made using local produce as much as possible. International and lo
Food good staff very efficient place full of Americsns which they let come in just wearing swimwear .when we are eating we dont want to see oversized Americans with no tops on getting drunk and loud they also allowed the drunken Americans to take glass bottles on the beach despite the presence of bezch patrols outside...a recipe for young feet standing on broken glass hence the average ratingsHello Particia,We always ask customers who come in for a drink if they are sitting in the restaurant or going to the beach. If they are going to the beach we supply plastic cups, soon transferring to cardboard by the way!!Unfortunately some of our overseas friends are loud, there isn't much we can do about that!! As for being drunk, we do reserve the right to stop serving if someone is getting that way and we also have a swim wear policy if guests are dining at lunch time, tops are essential or they will not be seated. But if they are just passing through to pick up a drink, we can't do too much about that.I am sorry if you took offense at some guests enjoying themselves a little too much at our great bar and restaurant.Kind regards.Michae;l

Lovely husband and wife team run the place by day, serving Lavazza coffee, food and freshly squeezed juices. But then went in the evening to find two surly, dead-eyed girls who couldnât have been more unfriendly. Because of them this review is only 3*.Tip to owners - make sure one of you work the night shift if you want your business to flourish.Wonât go back in the evening, plenty of competition nearby...with friendly, smiling servers!

The venue has been re decorated ad has a new name ! The menu is VERY extensive. I had chicken wings for a starter and they were really good. Then Pina Colada chicken curry - was really good and off the bone. Only comment was i had to have plain rice, which was good bu a bit boring as other option was garlic and did not want garlic rice. My friend had the tuna steak with mango and ginger sauce which the chef made especially without butter for her, She said it was amazing. The staff were all really good. Service was excellent - way above other restaurants we have eaten in locally this week.Thank you for taking the time to leave us some valuable feedback. I am glad that your friend and you enjoyed the various dishes you ordered. We we certainly look into the rice options so that there can be more variety. We hope that you visit us again.

Thinking it being a usual Indian garbage, we thought, initially trying to avoid it but when my son said about the comments in TripAdvisor, we went in. I asked one of the young service staff that I would like to have a chat with the chef he very willingly came and explained how he would cook the Bengali fish dish. That is exactly I cook at home. We ordered the Bengali fish, a chicken dish, mustard basmati rice and some starters I forget which but everything, I mean ever single dish that we ordered, was superb as if it was all homecooked food. On top of this there was a small very tasty starter on the house. All the service staff, mainly young boys and girls were exceedingly pleasant and efficient and talked very politely and in a very impressive manner. After this we went two three more time for which I do not need to repeat what I said initially. At our last dinner I happened to meet Mr Adil Pervez Sherwani, the owner I believe, who was found to be very knowledge and efficient but without any chip on the shoulder or empty pride. We had an interesting chat for some time. The place is kept very clean and tidy all the time with very good pleasing soft decorations and has soothing light. One little thing I would like to add rather reluctantly that the two Indian dishes served as desserts 1: Khir 2: Vermicelli in milk(savian) were not found to be as they would be cooked in homes in India or Pakistan.

Fine Dining Steak House with beautiful Outdoor setting, excellent service and meals to die for !
The service was glacially slow. The shrimp was ok. The salmon wasnât salmon. The NY STRIP was fatty and way undercooked. Despite this we were having fun as a family in this casual low key atmosphere especially being our last night of vacation. Very ready to let all other shortcomings go by but....when we asked for the bill I called our cab. Our 6:45 reservation had already stretched to after 9pm. Our cab showed up 5 minutes later but the bill didnât come for almost 20 min. After being shocked that our only disappointing meal, in the least fancy place we visited on this beautiful island, wound up being our most expensive, I dutifully handed over my VISA card and was very surprised when the waitress asked for my PIN. I told her it was credit and 10min later she came back to tell me our card was âdeniedâ. We are fortunate that our bank always calls on anything suspicious. They had called yesterday and we approved several St Lucia charges and they made note that we would be there this evening. She tried again. Came back to tell me Denied. I gave her an Amex Platinum. Didnât âgo throughâ but wasnât Denied. I called our bank from the first Visa. They said nothing had been attempted on the card. I gave the phone to the cashier and she admitted this was âon their endâ. Now had been over a half hour since we asked for the bill. Our local cab driver had to leave. The cashier spoke to the owner and the only response we got was that we needed to go get cash. No offer of any consideration for the more than one hour delay that their issue was going to cause us. I went and got cash and paid the bill, waited for my cab to finish its other appointment and left at about 10 pm. By the way, this is the only restaurant, hotel, or other service establishment that charged a 15% service charge (before tip) All others charge 10%. First time I have ever felt compelled to make a negative statement on TripAdvisor.
