I ate several meals at The Yellow Deli and each was freshly prepared. Featured are delicious home baked breads, soups, sandwiches and breakfast all day. I enjoyed their delicious salad of cashews, cranberries and Havarti with mixed greens. Service was excellent, friendly, with no waiting.

Stopped for gas and got so much more. Quick service, an awesome breakfast sandwich and some Green Mountain Coffee. I checked the deli Counter and they sell Boars Head Meat. I will be back on my next pass through. I go by there about 7/8 times a summer.

We recently moved to the area and found this gem. It's a family run business, and this hard working family is never too busy for you. They could not be more friendly or helpful! The menu is interesting, with new specials added daily. The portions are crazy;I've never left there without a container! Great sandwiches and wraps, fabulous breakfasts, most things are homemade, nice people, homey rustic atmosphere, fair pricing...what more could a person ask for?

Menus were sticky. I ordered a single gin and tonic and received a double. We ordered wings and fries. The wings arrived dry and chewy and the fries were soggy. Not sure why they ask what kind of sauce you want on the wings because there wasn't any. There is definitely a problem in the kitchen. This is deep fryer food. I would hate to see what they would do to a steak. On the positive side, our waitress was friendly.

Stopped for lunch. Quite a few chooses for meals. Chose the Italian sub. Good sized portion, came with fries. I was only able to eat half the sub and most of the fries. The other two in the party were also unable to finish their meals. So great value for what you get. Service was fairly quick. I thought the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go again.

Ana & Frank are true artisan's. Ana teaches food in NYC and Frank is a well-known ceramic artist of tiles and especially UDU drums. Together they have crafted a gem in Freehold, NY. Restaurant, art space, jazz & creative music nights are their specialty.Weâve known Ana & Frank since 2007, and while they are great friends, they are true entrepreneurs. Anaâs cheffing is top notch, b/c she knows how to cook and has taught my wife in one class, and âa small town in upstate NYâ became our first contacts upstate. Our house is 6 miles from Rubyâs Hotel.Frank is a ceramic artist who has done tiles for the NYC subwayâs and his annual UDU drum class where he makes them from scratch is known world-wide.I digress. Rubyâs Hotel is a unique blend of food, art, music. At one time they planned on having rooms. You would have to check on that progress. Go to their site.We enjoy everything about the nostalgia of the place. Classic bar, non-function soda fountain makes for great pix, and wow, what a personal touch. Ana allows me into the kitchen to say âHeyâ. If youâre near the Catskills, itâs worth a trip to Freehold for an Old Fashioned!Be prepared, they are only open Thurs/Fri/Sat in the summer-David Allen

Since 1989,DAMON BAEHREL has worked completely alone at his home, which is where his small, handbuilt, 20 seat restaurant & 12 acre property/farm, that is the only source of ingredients for his original NATIVE HARVEST CUISINE, is located. Having no suppli
In a tiny town in a big forest near Albany sits this culinary treasure. Damon Baehrel forages all of the vegetables, flowers and herbs from the 12 acre woods surrounding his house - restaurant. Many of the "sauces" are made from oils and sap that have been maturing for days, weeks, months or even years. Our 20+ courses had over 300 different ingredients that arrived on our plates in astonishing combinations. This Nature Harvest was served to us as a meal that unfolded over 7 hours (and yet seemed like only 3). Damon forages, cooks, busses and washes without a single helper making the achievement all the more incredible. A final note lest I forget...every plate was delicious without exception and some dishes were simply spectacular. On the coast of Maine, most times seafood is served fresh or frozen. Here - 3 of 4 dishes were made from live seafood.
THey were still serving breakfast and meals looked good but we wanted lunch.Started with beef barly soup which was very tasty. The classic Drive-in Burger was done perfect.Coffee was fresh and hot.Waitstaff was friendly and efficent.Plan to return for breakfast.

We had two wonderful lobster dinners on the patio watching the sun set and highly recommend the experience. The lobster dinner was just perfect. One nice sized lobster split and cracked. A green salad, corn on the cob and some fries came with it. Everything was wonderful and a treat. The patio made it even better. It was comfortable and the view of the sun setting over the mountains made it a perfect summer evening.I have to say the waiter was excellent too. I believe his name was John. He was charming, funny, and of course did a great job with service.
