The Melsness Mercantile Café is an amazing deli located in Valhalla Centre. Nice place to stop for homemade pie and coffee. The building is from 1925 that once operated as a general store and post office. The back room has many community artifacts and memorabilia. Food is fantastic. There is a unique troll park located in front of the café.

We were greeted and seated quickly. Menus and drink orders were taken and delivered. We gave our order and after an hour we noticed that others have been seated after us and had appetizers and food delivered to them. Finally flagged down our waitress and asked about our order. She checked on it and surprisingly it was up next. The one order the baked potato was cool and the cheese was not even melted. The waitress took it and said we can microwave it. I thought a baked potato was BAKED not microwaved. She then tried the chicken burger and it was cold. The potato came and we asked if the sandwich was to suppose to be hot or cold? She said hot, well its not. They offered other items and it was refused because the meal was late and we were not waiting another hour. It put a damper on the evening with not everyone enjoying a meal. We did talk to the manager and all they could do is give use a discount. Overall we not go to this location again. Thank you for taking the time to leave a rating and review. We truly appreciate you taking the time. I am sorry that you did not have a great experience while you were in our establishment. Please contact me at [email protected] that I could ask a few questions and see that I can't maybe make this right for you.

6 of us were up in Grande Praire for business and decided to go to the Red Rock hoping for some good BBQ.The server couldnât seem to remember orders long enough to write them down.We tried a variety of the menu and the only thing that wasnât a complete letdown was the dill pickle soup.I had the texmex brisket skillet it was smothered in so much queso sauce you couldnât even taste the brisket. No one else finished their meals for one reason or another.Sadly, we will not be backGood Day Suzy,As GM at Red Rock I am terribly sorry to hear of less than ideal experience and from your description, it certainly does not sound like the level of quality that my team and I strive for. I was wondering if you would mind direct messaging me either through the Red Rock FB page (https://www.facebook.com/pg/RedRockUrbanBBQ), or by email ([email protected]) so that I could follow up with you personally? As hard as it is to receive negative feedback I try and use all guest feedback as a coaching and training tool for myself, as well as my staff. Thank you for your feed back,Red Rock management

I have spent many happy hour or two at OJ's............. Great service, fantastic beer and a great atmosphere. Usually I do not eat there........... however, yesterday that changed. Ordering fish and chips, I awaited my meal. A narrow plate appeared, featuring a large chunk of fish atop the chips. Not sure why this comes on such a small plate. The large chunk of BATTERD fish was quite oily and whist I cut into this monstrosity it began to ooze oil and grease onto the chips. Further inspection revealed BATTER between half an inch, to one inch thick, moist and stodgy. Your yearly allocation of artery clogging cholesterol. There was some fish in there, albeit, precious little, probably an 80% BATTER / 20% fish. ... and I'm being generous.Joe's has some great meals, BATTER and chips is not one of them. Avoid.

My husband and I had an absolute wonderful experience at the Sawmill in Grande Prairie. From the warm/cozy decor, to our amazing waitress Bridget to our delicious meal that was presented so beautifully! Soon after our first visit, John the manager contacted us to hear how our experience was. We felt like our business was appreciated and we were welcomed to visit again. Soon after, we took a friend out for dinner and had the same perfect experience with another amazing waitress, Kacidy! We love the GP Sawmill so much, we are looking forward to celebrating our anniversary there as well! Thanks for the top notch service and best meals!!

We booked for a quiet table for our anniversary but were not given a table which was a bit more private as requested. The food was very good, service good. However the waitress was taking the plates from the table right next to us and tried to stack those on top of ours and spilled grease all over my husband's jacket. All she did was go and get hand sanitizer and try and wipe it off. Very disappointing that this was the only compensation for getting grease all over his jacket. Have to now go and get it cleaned to remove the grease.

Great food and a perfect stop for a romantic night out. Went there and had amazing food and drinks only thing that could of improved was the server that we had. She was very ditsy and didn't know the menu that well. Once we requested for a new server the rest of the night was awesome. I have mixed feelings about this one. First of all, the service was fantastic! The waitress was super accommodating and always made sure we had what we needed without being overbearing. Great Service! We started with the Bruschetta and that was soo very good! I would go back just for this. Beautifully presented with great flavour! Well done. Two of us had the braised beef pappardele. One of us had this dish before I couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was, so we tried it tonight. Definitely not as good as the previous time. A good sized portion, with plenty of braised beef, just really lacking flavour. Our table also had the special of beef ribs - excellent was the review on this dish! So much food to start that there was no room to ask for more, even though it was all you can eat!My only complaint is that the music was a little hard to take...unless you enjoy a poor choice of elevator music played too loudly.Dear Livingdaybyday,Thank you for the great feedback. I will follow up with our Executive Chef about the food. Ironically we just had a staff meeting and the overwhelming consensus was that our music needs changing. We are in the process of doing just this. I hope this addresses all your concerns and we look forward to your return.Regards,Alex Herbert
