This is my second review for Porterhouse and unfortunately it hasnât improved. It has been two years since our last visit so we thought we would give it another go for lunch and we wish we hadnât. Both my husband and I ordered a sirloin steak. His well done (which is so wrong in my book) and mine was medium. The food arrived and we tucked in... only to find mine was over cooked. I informed the waiter who apologised and asked if I wanted another. Obviously I said yes - whilst waiting for my food I continued to eat my chips and side dishes. Eventually my 2nd steak arrived and was cooked perfectly the shame was by now I wasnât that hungry but did manage it. When we asked for the bill he asked how our meals were. I was in the ladies at this point so my husband informed them that my 2nd steak was perfect and his was ok but not great. When we received the bill we had only been charged for one round of drinks. Not sure if this was a gesture of goodwill or they had forgotten to add our 2nd drinks so we didnât say anything. Will we think of giving it another try.... absolutely not!

14 of us from the lifeboat shop went for our Christmas meal and had an excellent time the food was very good and the service very good too the staff are friendly and helpful and the whole experience was delightful Well worth a visitGreat

Far too many fries which is off-putting and were warm instead of hot. Burger was cooked well. Waited over 45 minutes for food. Waitress wasn't overly friendly. Noisy due to a numbet of large groups. Nothing compared to when I visited years ago. Definitely quantity over quality. Hi - Thanks for your valuable feedback. We're sorry you didn't enjoy your visit to the Yankee on this occasion. Where to begin? In a restaurant with one party as the SOLE customer, we still had to CHASE for our check. If you're remotely contemplating going here, skip it. The children's breakfasts are flat-out a rip-off. The "pancake breakfast" is ONE silver dollar pancake CUT IN HALF! And the "waffle breakfast" is 1/4 of a normal waffle cut in three minuscule sections with a be smattering of berries as compensation. And these each cost 4.99 GBP. Nothing else. No eggs, bacon, etc. A "side" of pancakes (two silver dollar) is 3.99. WTH? If your kid feeds intravenously, this is your place, but if you dare to have a child who actually EATS, just give this place a miss entirely. And the adult breakfasts are not much better. The "Traditional English" is the ONLY safe option, and why would you when so many other places actually do "Traditional English" correctly? Avoid any selection with poached eggs, smoked salmon, or avocado because you will feel ill the remainder of the day. The menus are not wiped down and the tables are sticky. The toilets, however, are spotless. Seriously, the cleaner on the bike is the only guy doing his job properly. Whomever is in charge of this place needs to give him a raise. He is the ONLY reason you are getting two stars instead of one. The food was served on cold plates, a lot of the "available" selections are out of stock, the serving staff are clearly uninterested. This is NOT where you want to be!F&B plays the "American" card, but as an ex-pat, I entirely denounce their Trumped-up claims.

Myself and my husband were looking forward to our first visit to Sizzlers in Hopton having read some great reviews but we arrived to find the place closed when the opening times said open until 11pm,we arrived just before 9pm.2 very disappointed customers.
