One of my favorite sandwich shops is Subway, with their wide variety of sandwich choices and fixings. We visited Subway in Gilmer, Texas for lunch yesterday and were very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire establishment. Tables, chairs, booths, floor, bathrooms, service counter, fountain - all were spic and span. The two ladies working at the time were both very welcoming, friendly and helpful.Love that tuna sandwich!

What can you say about a chain? This place goes through times when the service isn't so great, and many times we've had to call because our take-out order wasn't filled correctly. At other times, perhaps with other managers, service was fine. For some reason, the meat in the Taco Bell burritos here tastes different to me than the meat at Taco Bell in Longview, but that might just be me. It's okay; it's fast food. Most of the time the people are very friendly. I think KFC is overpriced for what you get, but occasionally you just want KFC fried chicken.
