Meet a group of girlfriends there for a goodbye party with family/kids. It was great electric/positive atmosphere, very earthy and cosmic simultaneously. Extraordinary select/interesting menu with some great fan-favorite burger eater's delight, plus yummy(big slice) desserts. Greal local watering hole.

Galvez Bar & Grill, located in the historic Hotel Galvez, specializes in fresh, local seafood purchased at Galveston's Pier 19 and Texas regional cuisine. Diners can enjoy Texas-sized Po Boys, fresh fish served blackened, grilled and fried as well as stea
I am usually disappointed with restaurant-prepared Gulf fish in Galveston. Weâve been several places supposed to be excellent and they have missed the mark. Itâs either undercooked, over seasoned, or smothered in a sauce that overpowers the fish. The Gulf Red Snapper here is carefully grilled and lightly seasoned to amplify the fishâs natural flavor. The salad of field greens, Gorgonzola scalloped potatoes and Tuscan Pino Grigio- oh, it was all delicious. My husband hates fish but tried this and wished he had ordered it. Could not beat the gorgeous Victorian building or our server Nanetteâs friendliness and skill in helping me pair the fish with sides and wine. This was one of the best prepared Gulf Red Snappers Iâve had in my life. We will definitely be back to the Galvez Bar and Grill again. Worth every penny!Wow, thank you for the glowing review of Galvez Bar & Grill. We are thrilled you enjoyed your snapper. That's great feedback. We hope to see you again soon.

The toast of the Texas coast. How can frozen fish be called fresh? The answer for anyone with snap is simple: it canât. Thatâs why Gaidoâs is the classic choice for fresh Gulf seafood. Patrons know Gaidoâs is real, when others are clearly not. From red sn
I was there with a group. Found the stuffed flounder to have excellent, large pieces of crab and no filler. The flounder had a sauce which I could have done without. Others in the party like their meal.

The preparation and presentation was perfect with impeccable service. We had 3 specials-Shish-ka-bob, red snapper and Chilean sea bass. All were outstanding yet the shish-ka-bob with filet, lobster and shrimp was head and shoulders above the other 2. The service Brandon provided and hospitality from Jean Paul was unforgettable. All made for a wonderful birthday celebration!

The staff in this bar/restaurant are absolutely superb. You never wait for drinks and the food delivery is prompt. In fact I have no reason to complain. The restrooms are very clean and tidied regularly. The young lady, Tiffany, who sorts out tables is one in a million. Exceptionally polite and tries to the best of her ability to be very good with all customers. I recommend this young lady is nurtured and with more experience you could have an excellent employee on your hands.

We went to Landryâs after hearing about it from our resort and reading the TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has a large covered patio looking across the road to the Seawall so it is a little noisy when traffic is busy but the comings and goings make interesting viewing. The staff is pleasant and efficient and the menu has a wide selection of dishes with the emphasis on seafood. The wine list is not extensive but good. We opted for the crab cake and seafood stuffed mushroom appetizers, with the coastal seafood pasta as a main. All were very good. No room for dessert. Recommended.
