We always order bagels from Lâchayim deli when we are anywhere near one of their two locations. They also have breakfast and lunch sandwiches, deli sides and lots of pastries. The Beulah location has a few tables outside (as well as inside) for those perfect days. I believe the a Frankfort location eating area is indoors. They make everything to order as you wait.

Excellent breakfast with very good omelettes and a varied menu. Veryreasonable prices. The "Shipwreck hash browns are a must. Also serves lunch, but the wait for a table is at breakfast time. Opens at 6:00AM, and unlike many up north restauarants, they ar
This little place was recommended to us by a family friend. We went on a Sunday morning around 10:30am and it was packed which was a good sign. We were quickly seated and drinks were brought. We ordered a variety of items and all of it came out hot and delicious with very large portions. The pancakes are huge and will fill you up quickly. They are light and fluffy and made with buttermilk. The hash browns come with various toppings. I had sausage, ham, and bacon with cheese on my hash browns. I ordered a half share and it was more than I could eat. The waitress kept our coffee and water topped off and brought us a box to take home the left overs. My cousin had the corn beef hash and it was delicious. I would recommend that you come hungry. You may have a wait as this place is very popular among the locals. I will be returning. They are open for lunch as well and I will also try it. If breakfast is any indication, lunch will be just a great.

The Cabbage Shed is a water front pub that has the character and flavor of an "up north" establishment. There are fresh, local food items including our fish tacos, and 1/2 lb. Shed Burger. Live music is a staple on Friday and Saturday nights. Our waterfro
A very busy place but probably because there are so few options in Elberta. Busy night, staff was friendly and accommodating, great selection of beer but food was marginal. Veggie burger (which got great reviews) was okay but didn't live up to the reviews (good that veggie burger wasn't some frozen packaged concoction but a long way from being what other reviewers described). Fries were soggy, salad was drenched in dressing, coleslaw is more of a vinegar slaw (don't look for creamy). It may have been that our food sat for a while as we did wait a very long time between ordering and getting the food. Nice place to sit on the deck. It may have been an off night as it was recommended to us by locals. But there would be little reason to try it again. Good vibe but we were underwhelmed by the food.

A&Ws never change . . . I've gone to this one since I was a teen - 60 years ago. Went this morning. Country omelette without sausage gravy, lukewarm black coffee, slice of rye. Wife had an egg, bacon, hashbrowns and toast. Very basic breakfast, ambiance, service and price. But since I've gone for decades, ok, I suppose.

Birch & Maple is an eatery overlooking Betsie Bay in Frankfort, MI. Enjoy a craft cocktail and a modern dish prepared from scratch with deliciously real ingredients. Join us for fresh fare with friendly folks for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
Was looking for breakfast and stumbled across this restaurant on Main Street. It opens at 8:00 for breakfast (I was ready earlier!) Ordered their breakfast sandwich with egg and your choice of ham, sausage, or bacon. It was delicious and filling and just the right size. It was $9, about what you'd pay for a sandwich at Panera. There's also a breakfast salad if you're vegan. Other choices like pancakes. The food was nicely prepared and presented. The interior was clean and nicely decored. There is an outside seating area which faces the waterfront, although it was a bit chilly for this October morning. Probably great in the summer. I will have to try lunch and dinner here in the future.

We lucked onto this place after floating down the Platte river nearby. It was a beautiful day, and we sat outside. I would not have been comfortable inside the way we were dressed- this is a very nice place. Service was prompt and friendly, food was delicious. Note that we arrived shortly after the opening hour of 4:30 and the place was already filling up. Reservations definitely recommended.

Did not eat there....stopped in the morning right after they opened while visiting downtown Frankfort. Brought some of the pate, then traveled up the coast to Leland and bought some there. The Port City Smokehouse pate was way the better of the two...so if you are traveling up M-22 and are looking for some smoked whitefish spread, I would suggest stopping in Frankfort.

Upscale casual dining on Crystal Lake. Outdoor and enclosed deck with spectacular views paired with carefully prepared dishes. A la carte menu features local produce, fresh seafood, and organically raised meats. Specialty cocktails, craft beer, and though
Make a reservation! Then prepare to enjoy dining right on the Crystal Lakeâs north shore as close to the waves as practicable. Fantastic Michigan cheese plate, good wine list, and generously sized entrees. The steak frites was fantastic (next time I will ask for drastically less salt on the fries). The halibut and the Middle Eastern style chicken were also good, although the chicken could be better with more spice. Everything was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and service was excellent.

Casual family restaurant famous for in-house smoked meats including Dinghy's famous ribs, smoked chicken wings, pulled pork BBQ sandwich, French dip, BBQ chicken, bacon-wrapped smoked sausage. Fresh soups daily. Fabulous sandwiches including customer favo
Had very good pulled pork and a huge cobb salad. Grilled ham & cheese...just average.Booths are cramped, and tables are very close to each other. Difficult to navigate around the space. Place was packed on a week night in September, so others must find this a good place to dine.Sorry for the cramped conditions. We just try to accommodate as many as we can without making it impossible for our servers to provide the great service they are known for. thanks....

We went to Stormcloud Brewing Company for a wedding party, and it was a good place to have it. The beer and wine were easily served at the counter, and they kept coming. They lived up pizzas and snacks to accompany the drinks. Thereâs a nice outdoor area as well as inside seating.
