Things to do in Fort Belvoir
This was a good change from the Subway on Fort Belvoir. The Sefood and Crab was not shredded ! It was in DELICIOUS chunks. The bread was fresh too. The store was clean and quite too. The only down side was that I could NOT understand the lady making my sub.
Arby's is a leading global quick-service restaurant company operating and franchising over 3,400 restaurants worldwide. Arby's was the first nationally franchised, coast-to-coast sandwich chain and has been serving fresh, craveable meals since it opened i
I was in a class at Fort Belvior and I needed to grab a quick lunch and we stumbled upon this location. I ordered the Brown Sugar Bacon & Pit Smoked Ham sandwich combo with curly fries. The sandwich was very good and so were the fries. Quick service and clean store.

Family owned and operated. Est. 2013. Serving fresh, home-made cuisine and desserts from family recipes. Secluded outdoor seating while the weather permits and cozy indoor seating by a warm fire during the colder seasons.
After reading the many reviews and seeing the high ratings for this place over the years, we decided to give it a try for lunch. Being the foodies that we are, we had high expectations for service, venue/décor, freshness, menu, food/preparation and the overall experienceâ¦Regarding service â It was decent, definitely not great. We did appreciate the team approach to service and as such, our ice teas stayed nicely topped-off, but our primary server had issues tracking our courses (forgetting which course we were on, what was next, etc) and with timing the delivery of our food. Everyone was friendly.Regarding Venue â It looks interesting in there⦠Outside looked really nice, we would have preferred the outside, had the weather been better. Resembles more of an outdated diner on the inside with a sagging plastic tile ceiling and faux-stone block wall panels. Seating was a little cramped, but comfy while we were dining. The menu is really nice⦠they have plenty of intriguing items on the appetizer, entrée, sandwich, salad and dessert menu. Prices are decent, especially for their lunch items. Accompaniments are perfectly selected as well.As for the food⦠Very fresh and nicely done. The bistro steak could have had a better application of (or more) seasoning, fortunately the red wine reduction really helped. The preparation on it was perfect. Crab cakes are amazing! Very fresh and no filler! Their homemade tarter sauce was outstanding and perfectly accompanied the crab cakes. The entrée portion is huge and very filling too. Their mashed cauliflower was outstanding and the brussel sprouts we good, very tasty, slightly too much butter though. Save room for dessert, theyâre HUGE and Very Nice!!Overall â We all really liked the food and would definitely return, we just had higher expectations since the reviews were so consistently high and there were so many to legitimize them. Really like the quaint setting and the âold townâ style and setting.

Tried Bozelli's Brother's Deli while on Ft. Belvoir. Food was decent, and location was fairly convenient. But it took a long time for the food to be prepared. This was somewhat driven by the amount of people in line, but overall they didn't seem particularly fast.

Delicious Chicken Parmesan Sub! Very tender with a crunchy breading. Had to get some extra marinara as I thought the sub was a little on the dry side but that did not effect the great taste, I just like mine with a lot of sauce. Fries were good. Service was quick. Prices were reasonable with the portion sizes.

Built in the early 1800's, Historic Cedar Knoll Restaurant is located one mile from George Washington's Mt.Vernon estate. Cedar Knoll is known for its historic atmosphere and enchanting view of the Potomac River. With indoor and outdoor seating, fireplace
Cedar Knoll was able to accommodate our group of 70 guests on relatively short notice and they did not disappoint. From the atmosphere to the drink service, the passed hors d'oeuvres, the entrée and the desert, everything was fabulous. The service could not have been better, our groups drinks were kept replensihed and everything was delivered with a smile. The building interior is wonderfully decorated and provides a great dinning atmosphere with several different settings and pleasant views. We appreiceated the staff providing our group with a short history of the restaruant and property. Despite the size of our group, the food was all served warm and of very high quality. Many in our group were so fond of the menu items that they sought out some of the chefs unique recipies, which were graciously provided. Not one complaint and many compliments from the group. We certianly recommend Cedar Knoll and look forward to returning!

Our family came to the site of George Washington's home to enjoy a brunch at their restaurant. Unlike what one might think, it is not touristy but a very nice and enjoyable place to eat, whether it be lunch or dinner. We have not been to dinner here but the brunch was wonderful. They make their own breads, grits, etc and are yummy. Our waitress, who had been there for many, many years was top notch and we will definitely ask for her next time as well, when there.

Located in a newer strip mall with at least a dozen good restaurants. This restaurant serves Greek, Italian and American cuisine at very reasonable prices. It's a family-run, very friendly place!
We ate at Olympians on a recent trip to visit Mount Vernon, which isn't too far down the road. Service was excellent. Breakfast was well prepared with a generous serving of grits on the side of the eggs and omelets my husband and I ordered. It's definitely worth heading away from Old Town to have something as yummy and carefully prepared as the breakfast at Olympians.

I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant for dinner. We entered and were greeted by the hostesses warmly. We were seated immediately. Our waiter Allen was the best! His service with a smile was greatly appreciated. He acted as though he enjoyed his job and it showed in the quality service he gave. He recited the daily specials and was able to give additional information about how foods we're prepared. He kept checking on us and our drinks never went dry. Once the food arrived the presentation was amazing! The flavors of the food would explode in our mouth. Kudos to the chef! As a starter, She Crab Soup was chosen. Crab Cakes & Crab Crusted Haddock were the entrees. This was my first time at this restaurant and I would certainly recommend it and return back to try something new. They serve lunch & dinner.

After touring the property of George Washington , we were famished. This place was beyond amazing. The server was an older Asian man who was more attentive than any 20 year server ever!! He was amazing and never failed us. Then appetizer with 3 soups was perfect. Everyone should try the peanut soup. Chicken and waffles was very odd but delicious. I couldâve made a meal of just that. The skillet cornbread was sweet and full of flavor. The shrimp and grits were some of the best Iâve had. Flavor was carefully executed. Mom has the hamburger and it was delicious. Twin has the French dip and it was great as well. Love this place.
